Works very well

I don't understand the reviews that say it isn't any more powerful than a standard shop vac. That is so not the case. I had the HF 2HP dust collector for a couple years, and although it worked fine, it took too much space and was a pain in the butt to clean. This wall mount, with the 4" 21 foot expandable hose is great. I was actually impressed more than I expected with the suction power of this thing. It's also pretty darn quiet overall. The noise it makes is more of a low roar than an annoying whine. Not bad at all. I attached the Dust Right fittings to my tools, and take the hose around as needed. Not as much of a pain as I thought it might be. Of course, for someone other than a hobbiest, not having permanent runs would get cumbersome, but then at that level you are probably with a large two stage monster anyway.
If they knocked $ off the price, I'd give it 5 stars. That may not be fair, as it is very well made, but there you are. I'm picky.

I bought this Dust Right for my cnc Shark Pro. I think its great. It is not big and bulky. Its most definitely alot quiet than a shop vac. Remember a Rosch router, Shark moving around and a shop vac running whineing. Means your going deaf. But the Dust right has great suction. I made the mistake by leaving two 3/4 x1/1/2 sq.wood blocks on machine bed. Woof, gone, it sucked them in a blink of a eye. I also have the remotes. I will use this many years.

So far I'm at all not impressed. I have a very small shop and wanted this vacuum so that I could mount it to a wall to save space. The unit just doesn't have the power that a typical shop vac has. And, after adding a dust separator it doesn't save any more space over a more powerful 2 stage system. And when you add all of the associated fittings you need to get it to work in a shop, it isn't a very good value. I would encourage anyone thinking about this system to consider a single unit 2 stage system.

This small unit is excellent for a small shop! I have a 12 x 24 shop that has about all the tools you could cram into that spot, so adding a dust collector could not take up more space. This unit fit the bill. Great suction when used directly on the tool, never seems to be overwhelmed even with planning a 12" board. One thing that I must say is that you need to use a chip seporator when planning. The long curly chips clog the guard on the intake. Not a fault of the machine, just the nature of a good sharp planner. The machine is not noisy at all either.

I have a two stage collection system with approximately thirty feet of 2 1/2" tubing and six, 3 foot drops with blast gates. This vac unit doesn't completely pull the sawdust through leaving dust in the main run and in the gates requiring frequent cleaning to completely close when not in use. This vac might be okay for a direct hook-up to a single tool but I wouldn't recommended it in a shop collection system. Going back to my old Craftsman vac. Disappointed.
