Rockler Hinges Save Fingers From Slamming Lids

New 15 lb. Torsion Hinge Provides Precise Control of Box Lids

MEDINA, MN (December 20, 2011) - Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has introduced a 15 lb. Torsion Hinge that allows easy opening and closing of box lids and also holds them in any position. The 15 lb. hinge is designed to deliver the optimal amount of support for smaller box lids and is also the perfect complement to the 30 lb., 40 lb. and 60 lb. hinges already available in order to achieve the specific amount of support needed for box lids of any size.

"These hinges work much like those found on laptop computers," said Steve Krohmer, Vice President of product development. "With their constant torque technology, they'll hold the lid open in any position, and yet require only a light push to open or close. They are really a hinge and a lid support all in one."

The 15 lb. Torsion Hinges include screws and require no additional hardware. They also boast a stylish design and a sleek, rounded profile and come in Champagne and Rustic Bronze finishes which work with a variety of woods and finishes.

The 15 lb. Torsion Hinge (48519) retails for $21.99. It is available at Rockler Woodworking and Hardware stores nationwide, Rockler's independent resellers, Rockler.com, or in the Rockler catalog. For store locations or a free catalog, please visit www.rockler.com or call 1-877-ROCKLER.

"Have been a return customer for a number of years, and a recent experience has really cemented that bond for me. After using my Rockler lighted magnifying lens for a few months, one of the wires from the battery pack came loose. When I contacted Customer Service to inquire about sending the unit back, they instead sent me a brand new one - no questions asked, no return expected, no charge whatsoever. This simple step - coupled with top quality, innovative products - ensured my repeat business more than any other advertising technique or gimmick could ever do. Keep up the good work, Rockler!"
