Overview

The tool rest is one of the most important features on any lathe. The rest should allow for maximum flexibility of chisel movement and provide adequate chisel support as close to the cutting edge as possible. These Nova tool rests are made of cast iron for excellent rigidity, and come with a standard 1"" shank to fit any Nova Lathe.

Nova 12" (300mm) Tool Rest (TR300/1):

  • Ideal for larger work where you want more mobility without having to readjust.
  • Fits all lathes with a 1" (25mm) shank.
  • Ribbed design for maximum rigidity.
  • Solid cast iron for strength.
  • Fits all NOVA Lathes (excluding Nova Comet II Midi Lathe).

Nova 4" (100mm) Tool Rest (TR100/1):
  • Handy for smaller work when you don't want a toolrest to get in the way.
  • The 1"/25mm shank delivers a super strong platform.
  • Ribbed design for maximum rigidity.
  • Solid cast iron for strength.
  • Fits all Nova lathes and all lathes with a 1"/25mm shank.
