To sharpen planer and jointer blades. Have had Tormek sharpener for three or four years to sharpen just about everything that needs sharpening, although I do use water stones to quickly touch up chisels and hand planer blades.

Yes, it's expensive. But it is sure nice to be able to sharpen your planer blades on the spot. Just think of how many times you'll sharpen your or your friends blades over a life time, it's not like this jig wI'll ever wear out.
