I should have taken serious the other reviews! Because of limited space requirements, the customer wanted a four legged working table with folding legs. No sides or apron. I was limited to ordering two pair of these hinges. Attached solidly to leg and bottom of table top, each hinge wobbled an inch in each direction. I will "give" this project to the customer free just to get it out of my shop. Useless for any real support in my opinion.

These are too wobbly for a table. I use two of them to prop up a drop-down leaf, and the hinges provide the only stability. I say some stability, because the legs still wobble. Totally unsuitable for a four-legged table.

Accomplishes task. The larger table I built is very wobbly as the clearances that they have to allow so that the sliding lock mechanism can work give a lot of travel, in both directions. I screwed on some fence brackets and slipped tensioners between the legs lower down, fixed it. Now I just have to pop out the tensioners, fold the legs and voila! storable large table.

I used these to build a small 15" x 20" folding table. The hinge tolerance when open was so loose that the wobble caused the table to be useless. I gave up on the project.

Works great for wall mounted work table. Easy to fold and legs lock into position easily. Not for fine furniture, but then again who builds fine furniture with folding legs?
