Great item!

This mobile base is made of sturdy steel, well manufactured and goes together easily. Do not hesitate to buy one! I used hard maple and it supports a machine that weighs over 200 lbs. with ease. It helps to use a drill press to drill the required holes in the wood parts but if you are good with a hand drill you should not have a problem. I just bought another one when Rockler had a sale.

Very pleased

I bought this to replace a set of lifting casters. The floors in my shop are 130 year old tongue and groove. This mobile base rolls well on these old floors and supports my 1953 Sears table saw very nicely.

Good Value!!!

First thing - forget everything Kelsey said in his review. The only pain I had associated with this mobile base was reading his review! LOL...
As always, I read the reviews before deciding on a purchase, and the overwhelming majority of the reviews for this base were 5 stars, and that is exactly what this base deserves! This base went together easily, and my only deviance from the instructions was to use a 3/8" drill bit for the front roller bracket and a 5/16 for all of the other holes. It does help to have a drill press to ensure the holes you drill are straight. Other than that, I just referred to the photo of the assembled base, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the design from there.
I built this base for my new Rikon 10-351 bandsaw, which weighs in significantly more than does my (and Kelsey's) Jet drill press and Jet 14" bandsaw - at 315 pounds. The base is rock solid, and I haven't experienced any issues moving my Rikon bandsaw around. The front wheel swivels exactly like it should. Again, I'm not picking on Kelsey, but I can't help but think he didn't not assemble his base correctly....
Bottom line, buy this base with confidence!!! I will purchase again if I'm in need of another tool mobile base!!!
