I usually like Rockler products but...while the sale price was great for these brushes, I was quite disappointed. The ends of the brushes were not cut evenly across the ends!
Good deal for the sale price

At sale you can't go wrong. Way better than the cheaper toss-aways. At least when using water based paints they are washable and reusable.
Good quality for the price

These brushes are great to have around the shop. I use them for applying shellac and varnish and they lay the finish on smoothly with almost no bristle loss. They are far superior to the hardware store disposable brushes. I don't try to clean them for reuse, but if I'm varnishing over a period of a few days, I keep them in a jar of naptha or mineral spirits until the next use.

These are fairly good with water based products, but forget about oil-base. Impossible to get clean, so think of them as throw-aways. Tried using with General Finishes gel-based stain on turned balusters - real bristle flowed better, and had no "greasy" residue afterwards (using the same solvent based cleaner on both).

They work pretty well, only dropped one loose bristle putting stain and poly on cabinet. Well worth not having to wash out poly afterwards, just tossed the brush. I was also able to cut the handle to fit in the small areas and not feel bad about it. The brush did not work great for holding stain, but they got the job done and worked fine in the end. Very good deal for $1 each, and so much better than the cheap brushes at the home center...
