Great for coasters

My son made a beautiful cherry and mahogany coffee table, and I wanted to make him a set of matching cherry/mahogany coasters as a present. I routed two very shallow strip grooves into the bottom of the coasters, cut the cork into strips, pressed it into the grooves, and voila -- perfection! The cork can even be sanded perfectly so it tapers alongside the beveled bottom edge of the wood. Great product.

These cork sheets are awesome for the money. I originally bought these sheets for some coasters I had made. The coasters look great and I have been finding all kinds of uses for the remainder of the sheet. For instance, a panel on the side of my scroll saw had started to vibrate and make a ton of noise. I took the panel off, stuck some cork around the screw holes, and bolted it back on. I have not heard a peep out of it since. I also stuck some to the bottom of my scroll saw and bolted it back down to my work bench. The vibration that it used to get at higher speeds is gone now.
