I used the maple as a part of an inlay on a jewelry box. The wood was unblemished and straight. Totally satisfied with my order.

I used this maple with walnut for accent to make 3 of these candle centerpieces as Christmas presents. I was very pleased with the pieces that were delivered. A plus was that the sizes delivered were a bit oversize. This allowed me to select the best part of the board for use, though any of it would have been acceptable.

Wood was straight and flat, easy to cut and machined perfectly. It only had one little knot which I cut around. The remaining wood was a very nice specimen. I will order again. I am using it for a coin map project I ran short on.

I was looking for a thin, 1/8" maple for laser cutting. Unfortunatly, about 3 of the peices (out of 10) I ordered will probably be to warped to use. However I currently have them weighted down and will see how they turn out.

I have projects that uses about any size and shape of thin maple (I haven't found a use for the sawdust). Of all the purchases of this type of wood, I have only received one piece with a knot hole making about six square inches unusable.
The only other defect I have found are band marks caused by binding bundles of the wood. As far as warping, that can happen during shipping time. It happens in my shop if I don't store it properly.

The wood sent had numerous defects which surprised me based on the price. Go to the lumber yard and take the guess work out of it.

I would not have expected to receive such a badly defective product. The 1/8" maple was so badly cupped I could do nothing the fix it.

I ordered 3 species of wood. All my wood was clean, straight and flat. The numbers provided to order from are partly decimal fractions and partly common fractions. The 2 don't mix. The people placing the order did call but I was disappointed that my order had increased $15. I say buyer beware and have them call you in the evening so you can think it over. I should have canceled and looked around.

The maple I received had a few more knots the I would of expected. This resulted in a challenge to find enough clear grain for my project. Might of been better to hand pick the pieces from a local lumber yard.
