I was looking for a good, small and cheap caliper that would fit into my shirt pocket when working on projects. Rockler's 4" brass caliper fit the bill. If I want really accurate measurements, I go get my electronic calipers, but this one is just plain handy and a time saver.

The caliper was bent when I received it. I tried to straighten it and in the process it broke.

The caliper was bent when I received it and the markings are very difficult to see. I don't have another one so this will have to work for now.

It was a little bent when I got it (I straightened it) and the zero markings don't precisely match up but it'll probably come in handy. I wouldn't recommend it, but I still like Rockler. They're a good company.

The calibration numbers do not correspond to known wood thickness , used to verify the tools accuracy. I am not satisfied with this tool and would not recommend to anyone I am aquainted with to purchase this tool. This will not deter me from buying any tools in the future from Rockler.

I didn't expect much, but I did expect to be able to read the marks and numbers. Not worth the effort.

I bought about 10 of these for our shop and wished I hadn't. They fall apart, are not accurate and are not very easy to use. Save your money and buy a good quality one.

This is the worst caliper Ihave ever seen. It was bent and when you pulled it out a ways the channel was way to wide in the front, so it just flopped there. You would have a real hard time measuring anything with this piece. The rest of my order was fine, the service was great.

No where near accurate. I would say almost a full 1/16 off. If postage would not cost as much as the product I would return it for a refund.

Poor Quality, shoddy machine work. Caliper would not close or zero (1.5 mm off). Bent , would not slide smoothly. Would not recommend.

Made in China. Mine doesn't even read a correct zero measurment when it's closed. The rest of the markings are no better. Don't waste your money!

I purchased this small caliper to replace a lost one that I had for 30 years. I use a small caliper to size drills to screws etc. This caliper is poorly made of crude construction and does not meet my needs. Basically it is a piece of junk that I was surprised. It is a shame because a small inexpensive caliper has many uses around the shop. I am returning it today if the postage is reasonable, if not, I will dispose of it.

It was bent. Calibration off by 1/8th inch. Rockler did accept my return.
