All in all I find this to be a good and mostly sturdy mobile base. I would have given it 5 stars except for a few what I would consider flaws in the manual. It suggests to measure 1" beyond the feet of your tool base. I did and it was off by 2"! at least in my estimation for a good fit. I have a 12" Bridgewood table saw. Since it was a wrestling match to get it under the table saw initially, I decided to change the dimensions while it was under the saw. It can be done. The only other thing I would change is the floor stops when you drop from the wheels. They have the wiggles and I like my saw completely secured. I'll change them to a hard rubber rather than soft. It's a good piece and better than most I have seen outside of dedicated bases by Delta or Jet. You won't go wrong at this price.

This is a fantastic mobile base. I use it for my 14" bandsaw and at first I was hesitant to purchase it because I was wary of the plastic lever that is used to make the base mobile. Not to worry. The step on levers are made from very durable plastic and will last for many years to come. I'm pretty mechanically inclined so I didn't think the instructions were too bad. Overall, a great mobile base.

Ordered this for my wife's joiner. The joiner's base is smallish, ~14X16", but the base was plenty adjustable and went together easy, despite the vague manual.

I have a small garage with many woodworking tools on casters. I also do bicycle repair and have a Park Tool repair stand mounted on a 300 pound metal plate. I wanted to have the mobility with this stand as I do with the rest of my tools, so I bought this universal base and it works great!

I am getting rid of the two of these I purchased, not because they are not workable, but because in a small shop, they simply eat up too much space in a small shop. Consider your space carefully before buying these. They are OK, but there are other options.

I needed a mobile base for my Ridgid thickness planner and looked at the HTC 2000 base but was concerned because the specs said the max rectangle was 20” X 54”. I also talked to the sales rep at my local Rockler and was told the same thing. Problem was that I needed a base that would accommodate the odd angled base legs on the planner which is 23” X 31”. After looking it over at the store the specs didn’t seem to coincide with the design so I figured I would give it a shot. Turns out I am glad I did, I was able to reconfigure the basic assembly to meet my needs with no problem and was able to fit the base to my planner stand very easily. Now I can move the planner around to work where I need it. So far I have not noticed an problems with it and am going to add a wood platform to it first chance I get. I would recommend the HTC 2000, it is easy to assemble and much more versatile than the specs indicate.

I had been lugging my table saw around by hand for several years, but with the recent completion of a small workshop space, needed a means to easily get to and then store my saw when not in use. This unit looked like it might do the trick. It arrived just a couple of days after ordering and I immediately took to assembling it. The instructions leave something to be desired for the less mechanically minded, but assembly was intuitive enough and went together easily. Bottom line, it is low profile, works great, and makes me kick myself for not investing in it a lot sooner. I would highly recommend this for anyone with a bulky tool that they want to be able to move around.

My cabinet saw and jointer bases are both HTC, but the larger made to fit style. They work very well but are pretty expensive. I bought this base for my 14" band saw and am very pleased. It is easy to assemble, smooth and sturdy. Don't appologize for having a small shop and needing these. I have a fair amount of shop space but cannot leave a jointer or bandsaw out in the middle all the time whre you can work on 10' long stock with them. Movement is essential. I appreciated the versatility of putting the operators wherever I wanted and even orient them both to the most convienent spaqce. The saw now moves back towards the wall and out very easily. Rockler speed and efficeincy is as always, appreciated.

I bought this base for my 12" Bandsaw. I have a small shop space and being able to move my equipment is essential. This base is the second one I have purchased. I am using the first one for my Table saw. The base was easy to assemble and is just as easy to use. I plan to buy another in the future to use on my Jointer. I whole heartedly recommend this product without reservation.

Overall I'm very happy with it. I had a couple issues putting it together, but it was more of the bolts at the corner getting in the way of other bolts. A simple shift to the next hole and it was finished. Also, had a little problem attaching it to my saw, but even that was relatively easy to overcome.

This is used to hold my Craftsman 22124 table saw (about 400lbs.) and it moves it with ease. I can even go over about 1 inch high cracks that are in my garage floor.

Can certainly recommend this product and will buy it again if I ever have the need. Great value as well!

Sturdy, well-made, product. I built it in two halves and did the final assembly after sliding both halves underneath opposite sides of my saw. I did not have to do any heavy lifting that way.

GREAT! Worth every cent that I paid for this mobile base. I bought this for my 180 lb. jointer which for me was extremely hard to move. Putting the base together was very easy and didnt take long. I did need help from a couple of my friends to lift the jointer and place it on the mobile base, since my lifting capacity has somewhat diminished. Now I can move this jointer with one hand anywhere I need it with ease!

The one good thing I did do was to place the foot levers facing each other inwards, so as not to have them sticking out when I move around my jointer.

Great product. I thought for the price compared to other mobile bases it wasn't going to be as good, but I've been extremely happy. My 200 pound table saw was nearly impossible to move before. With this base it can be moved and tucked out of the way any time I'm not using it. This cleared up an enormous amount of floor space in my shop.

I bought this for my contractor style table saw. It already had a wheel set but I had to tilt the whole saw for them to work - not easy in my tightly packed garage. I put this HTC base together - easy to do - and put the saw on it - WOW! The mobile base is wonderful. It greatly improves the ease of moving my saw and is perfectly stable when set down. When I can I plan on buying one or two more. Great job HTC and thank you, Rockler for having it at a good price.

It's a little weird lifting one side before the other because I'm using mine under my Band Saw, so it tips over a bit before I can get both sides up and ready to roll, but I love it, it's everything it's meant to do. I had such a hard time moving my bandsaw around, but not anymore. Very good quality, easy put-together and worth the price.

I purchased two of these bases. I put one under my table saw and one under my scroll saw. The assembly was easy but I did download the manual from your site to make that easier. I did purchase an additional nut for each of the two pads on each base. This allowed me to place a nut on both sides of each pad support bracket thus locking the pad into position. I'm very happy with the my new found mobility.

Like others, I use mobile bases to maximize space in a small workshop. This base is as advertised. Am using it on a belt/disk sander. I must make a comment about Rockler!I ordered this and received the package and it was empty. I called Rockler, with no questions asked the customer service agent said she would ship me another. It went out right away. They did send a UPS man to pickup the empty box from the earlier shipment. I love to do business with companies with top-notch, no hassle customer service.

This base does not handle as much weight as is advertised. I have put a fairly heavy (about 225 lbs) on one of these bases and it is obvious the weight is a strain on it. I will probably replace the metal between the left and right sides with oak so that it does not sag. I will say that the price was right.

I certainly agree that the directions could be better. I sat down thinking I would just throw it together; it took a lot more time and concentration than I expected. I'm using it for a Delta 14 inch band saw and it handles the 202 pounds with ease. It's a little difficult to push down on the orange thing to raise it up, but that's my only issue once assembled.

Base seems very well put-together. I am using it for my 6" jointer. Instructions left a little bit to be desired. A couple of the bolts are supposed to be silver, according to the parts list, but were actually black like the others. Also, the assembly diagram is quite small. I went to the HTC website and found the owners manual and blew it up to 300% normal size on my computer screen to get a bigger diagram. Overall it looks to be a great product.

Recently purchased three mobile bases for a table saw, band saw and a jointer/planer. These tools have three very different footprints and the base was flexible enough to fit all applications. The tools move with ease. Assembly instructions were simple and clear. I would offer one suggestion.. the instructions suggest adding 1" to the tool footprint when you size the base. This provided too much slop in the fit... had to shift one hole over for each dimension.

The mobile base was one of the best purchases I have made for my shop in a long time. My shop is my garage and I need to push my table saw back against the wall after every use. The HTC 2000 went together quickly, is solidly made, and makes moving my table saw a breeze. Before I would hesitate pulling it out away from the wall for just a few cuts I had to make. Now I don't give it a second thought.

Product is okay but is not nearly strong enough for 500 pounds. I used it for a 400 pound jointer and it deflected so much the wheels would not swivel. I had to shim them to make them work. Also arrived with one damaged part which was promptly replace. Product is probably fine for up to 300 pounds.

Well made base; easy to assemble, but, as was noted by other reviews, the design raises one side of the machine at a time. After raising one side the supported machine will tilt potentially breaking the plastic raising handles or, worse, the machine is unstable and could fall over. A better design would raise both sides simultaneously.

I recently moved. All my woodworking tools were in a 24x16 shop and my automotive tools in a 3 stall garage. All this equipment had to be moved into a 2 1/2 stall garage. The HTC mobile bases have worked well for all my tools and several cabinets. The first base was assemble and the table saw installed in about an hour. The other 6 bases were completed and in use after a morning work session (with the help of my son). Everthing is packed in the garage like sardines, but every tool can be accessed and in use in about a minute.

I bought the HTC 2000 because I have enough tools to fill a two car garage crammed into a one car garage. I recently obtained a 12 inch band saw and needed to move it easily. this base was so easy to assemble and use that I used the discount coupon to purchase another for my 10 inch table saw. Now they both move about very easily and I'm thinking about getting another one for my bid old high school type lathe. I'm going to have to get the larger model for it because it takes five big men to pick it up. My 10 year old grandson can move the machines as easy as I can.

Bought this for a Delta 17-950L Drill Press.
Seemed to be missing one 1/2" 1/4-20 Bolt/nut.

Used one 18" rail on the short ends (front & back) and two 12" (one in each corner) and one 18" rail for the sides. I added additional 1/2" 1/4-20 bolts and ny-lock nuts so that each piece was held by 3 bolts at each connection. I decided to use ny-lock nuts since I didn't want any vibration to loosen the bolts.

I installed the front feet differently than shown in the manual. The feet attach to a threaded metal bracket which would have to hold a quarter of the tool weight on just a few threads. I put the nut below the metal bracket and adjusted the height until front and back are level.

For the base, I used two scrap pieces of 5/8" plywood cut to 21-1/8"x 28-3/4". Each corner has a 1/2" hole so I drilled a 3/8" hole through each and bolted the plywood to the corners using a 2" long 3/8" bolt with fender washers on each side and ny-lock nuts.

To mount the drill press base to the plywood, I flipped the DP base over, aligned the base, drilled 5/16" holes, removed the base, installed the mounting bolts with fender washers to the plywood, installed the base on top of the mounting bolts, and added another fender washer and ny-lock nut on each bolt.

After assembling the drill press (close to 200 pounds) it is now easy to move around.

Note that I mounted the wheels on the side and they need room to splay out when disengaged. I wasn't sure if having the wheels in front would create a tripping hazard.

Also, the item shown on the Rockler website is the HTC 1000 (gray handle), not the 2000.

I purchased this mobile base after reading the reviews for the JET Workshop table saw I bought [elsewhere]. The reviews stated that the legs were not sturdy enough for the wheel system (one sided) that is included with the saw. The mobile base was very simple to put together and works great for my table saw mobility. The base was shipped the same day the saw was ready for pickup (took about four days) and I ordered it right after I ordered the saw. I'm very pleased with the product and intend to order more if I ever have another stationary tool that needs one.

I currently have 5 HTC bases, four of the HTC2000 for my router table, drill press stand, band saw, and belt sander, and a custom one made for my Jet contractor tablesaw. I'll be getting another HTC2000 to set my new scrollsaw stand on. Makes moving tools around the garage a breeze. In the long run, they're cost effective compared to a homemade base since a set of decent heavy weight locking casters will cost almost as much.

After doing everything else, building a base from plans, caster wheels etc. I finally broke down and purchased a HTC 2000 base for my Craftsman 10" Table Saw. It worked so well, I have just received two more for my bandsaw and jointer. Only made one mistake, not buying one more for my planer. It is tricky getting the saw onto the base but I was able to get it done by myself. Be precise in your tools measurements (L & W) or you will find you have to remove and re-install some nuts and bolt to get a proper fit.
Living in Alaska which seems to be a foreign country to on-line retailers, always nullifies any free shipping breaks but fortunately Rockler ships very quickly and I generally receive my purchases within a 7 day time period.

Editor's note: We can't specak for other retailers, however when Rockler has a free shipping offer it does not nullify the offer if you live in Alaska or Hawaii. Free shipping offers are for the removal of the standard handling fee from your order. You will need to pay for the additional air charges to send the order to you, but just as other purchasers you will not pay the handing fee when these promotions are done.

I installed one base to replace the worn out wheels on the stand for my 20 year old Craftsman 10 inch radial arm saw, and one for my Delta floor standing drill press. I managed to get my saw and stand on top of some 2x4's by myself by raising the stand, one edge at a time, using a bar, a 4x4, and my foot to slip each 2x4 individually under the stand. Installing the base around the elevated stand is tricky because you have to slip the corners under the stand and on top of the 2x4's, but I finally got it done with the help of a neighbor without tipping over the saw and stand. Installation of the base around the elevated saw stand was tricky. One of the nuts used for the rear wheels interferes with the installation of the front to back side rail so I had to remove one bolt from each rear wheel corner bracket to allow the rail to be installed fully into the rear corner bracket. After the rear wheel bolt is slipped through the rail there are barely enough threads left to reinstall the bolt, so that bolt needs to be 1/4 inch longer. Also leaving the front casters off until after the base is installed around the stand helps. After the saw stand installation, I found I could handle the drill press installation by myself. Each of the bases work well for making the saw and drill press moblile.

I bought this for my Delta floor standing drill press. The written part of the instructions are vague. I had to use the diagrams to figure out how the unit assembled. Outside of this, the base works great! I can roll the drill press around my garage floor easily and with confidence that it won't fall over. Once in place and the base sits on the pads, the press is very stable. If I needed another one, I would buy it. The instructions are the only thing that keep me from giving it a five star rating.

I have a small shop area to work in. The mobile bases allow me to move the table saw and the radial arm saw where I need them, and then return them to a position out of the way. These were the last two tools that needed mobility in the shop. No more dragging.

Assembly was pretty straight forward. Once I installed this it worked great! So good in fact that I am thinking of getting another one to use on a tool chest I made.

Assembly was straight forward. The Mobile Base has been installed on my 14" Delta Bandsaw and fits great! The additional tool height from the installation of the Mobile Base is negligible. Best of all, it rolls very smoothly!

I had Craftsmen wheels on my radial arm saw and hated them. This mobile base is great! Smooth rolling, easy to atriculate. Great service from Rockler.

These mobile bases were easier than expected to assemble and they work quite well. On very heavy machinery, one has to be careful to engage the roller feet with the levers evenly on both sides at the same time, which is a little difficult (a single lever would be less cumbersome). But, I keep the "wheels down" most of the time, except when I am using the machine, so I can roll the equipment about as I need to make space for other things.

I have a very small workshop and need the flexibility to rearrange it at a moments notice, and this stand works great for that! I did remove the existing wheels and replaced them with the same locking casters I have on my Rockler router table - and was that a great move!

Best stand I have found so far. I have 3 other brands of stands and 2 HTCs. Wish they were all HTC. Be aware the aluminum lift lever has been replaced w/ a plastic one on the latest unit I bought - not sure if thats good or bad yet.

I purchased this mobile base for my table saw. Put it together in a snap, mounted it, and it works like a charm. Have a large workshop and love to work on things. Now I can move my table saw out of the way to use the other great products I purchased for Rockler.

Very durable stand. Simple bolt together assembly and rock solid when done. Only down side, is I would rather have a mechanism that raised both casters to rolling position at the same time. The individual foot pedals are a little cumbersome with a 300 pound 14 inch band saw. But once on the wheels....my cat could move this thing. for the price and the general quality of components, this is a good unit to purchase

The price/performance of this mobile base is outstanding. It requires minimal assembly time consisting mainly of bolting the parts together to fit the machine with which it will be used.

There are other mobile bases more substantial and easier to operate. That said, at the current price point, the HTC base is good value. I have built mobile bases, using recycled bed frames, etc and I like the HTC base more than my efforts, which do work. I do wish that the assembly picture was larger and had another view. The written instructions could have been lots better. The first assembly might take you an hour but each one thereafter will be a 10-15 minute affair. I put this base under my contractors style tablesaw. I am pleased with its efficacy....it just looks so clunky.

Brought this with my new Jet table saw. When in the stationary position my saw is rock solid. When up on the wheels it floats like a butterfly. One more plus is that it's made in the U.S.A.

I just bought one of these for my 14" cast iron bandsaw, and it works great! I have a smallish space (second garage) to work in, and this helps keeping the space clean. Putting the frame together was really easy, the only "problem" I had was to keep the wheel bushing in place while inserting the bolt.
I'm glad I bought two of these, next I'm going to mount my table saw on one.

I bought the base for my 10" table saw. It works great. I can now easily move my saw around my garage effortlessly. The directions do have a little to be desired but by exercising a little mechanical common sense one can have the base together and working within an hour.

I used the base for my Craftsman table saw, the instructions were clear and precise and once I figured out which position I wanted the wheels in and which would work best for me everything was a snap. It is made of heavy gauge steel and is easy to move saw anywhere in my garage.

I assembled the product in about an hour. The directions could have been more intuitive and larger, but overall fairly easy to follow. I use it for my Jet table saw.
It is a well made product that fulfills my expectations. I am very pleased with its versitility and expect it to last.

I assembled two of these in less than an hour. The assembly diagram could be a little bigger but was clear enough to get by. Adjustment was easy enough. The only negative thing for me was that the two foot pedals, to raise or lower the casters, both point to the right. It would be nice if they both pointed inward to avoid catching the right pedal on the tool frame of the tool nested next to the one with the base.

Fairly easy to assemble, very solid, made of very good materials. Negative - the tool you set this on will require re-leveling, more than a small adjustment.
Overall, very pleased.

Easy to assemble and sturdy, but of the two, I prefer Rockler's power tool mobile base, as it is easier to level and move the wheels/pedals out of the way.

Assembly is easy enough, although the instructions could be a lilttle more
descriptive. However, do not assemble it around a closed base as they
suggest you can if the machine cannot be easily moved. Unless you capture the screws or nut washers in the position that you require.

This mobile base is strong and easily assembled. It may be assembled to form different geometries and this gives it versitality. The only thing I see that may be a problem is that there are a few forms that it may not be able to accomodate.

Only complaint is that the directions did not itemize the contents correctly. It talked about "silver nuts" and "black nuts". There were no silver nuts, only black ones. I was almost going to stop the assembly and complain about the missing parts until I examined the contents carefully and realized that all the parts were there except that they were all black. The documentation needs to be clarified.

I used the base for my Delta Jointer. Easy to assemble. Four wheels make it very stable. I have a Craftsman model that is almost identical. I prefer the HTC model because of the position of the foot levers when the base is in the down (stable) position. They are vertical so you aren't tripping over them. I will buy another one for the next machine I buy.

I have used several of these as well as the more expensive Craftsman equivelent, they are both excellent products but the HTC was 1/2 the price. I have everything in my shop on these bases from a 400 lb Tablesaw to a 30 lb scrollsaw, it's the only way to go in a small shop, I even used the HTC for my 14" bandsaw which kept it 2" lower than the caster kit avialable from Sears!

After seeing the reviews and looking at the product in the store, I thought it would be perfect for my bandsaw. Unfortunately the lift arms are plastic and not particularly rugged. Either the 3rd or the 4th time that I started to move the saw, one arm simply failed at its weakest point and snapped off, rendering it useless.
I returned it to the store today and am replacing it with a unit with a steel lifting mechanism instead.
Maybe I just got a lemon - everything else they have recommended to me at the Rockler store I go to has been at least as good as advertised (and usually better). But I don't think that a mobile base rated for 500 pounds should have a plastic lifting mechanism which snaps lifting a 200 pound bandsaw.

The instructions for this product are terrible. The bolts are U.S. not metric as stated. Bolts described as "silver" are in fact black. The diagram included requires a magnifying glass to read. It may in fact be a decent product once assembled but for what it costs they could at least give you reasonable instructions.

The unit was easy to assemble and I'm using it for a 10" table saw that is well within the weight limit. I placed the table saw on the base, tested the wheels levers a few times and moved it into place. Two weeks later I was showing the base to someone and stepped on the levers, they broke off (both). I'm not sure why. I contacted the OEM and asked about getting replacement levers. Never got a reply. After reading the reviews, I think I see where there is a problem with the plastic lift arms. When the unit is raised one wheel at a time it "tilts" to one side. If you have a stationary object, like a work bench (in my case the table saw under the base is surrounded by a work bench), the unit on the base will bind up against the bench and then the lift arms will be trying to lift the table saw and the bench. The unit should lift straight up to avoid problems - i.e. have a bar connecting both lift levers.
