One thing to note on this bit. You must use a separate straight bit to cut a grove and then use this bit to cut the T. I thought this bit would cut it all at once but that is not the case.

When I got the product it was something I found to be the wrong size and something that wouldn't work with the project I was doing. Not the fault of the item just the size of the item. Will still order from Rockler if there is something else I find I need that they have.

I was able to make my feather boards adjustable in two directions on my MDF table saw fence, and plan to do the same to my router table fence.Once the 3/8 slot was cut to depth the "T" slot was a snap.

You do have to make two passes: the first pass with a 3/8" straight cutter and then use this bit for the second cut. Otherwise it would be too much material to try and remove with just one pass and it might burn the bit. I would NOT recommend free-handing the cuts.

Works as advertised. I use my dado set for the 3/8 channel first and then clean up with this bit. Very sharp like my other Rockler bits.

We used this T-Slot bit on two NYW router tables. One on MDF and the other on laminate faced particle board.
It worked very well on both.

Versatile, customizable, essential--for all routing, jigs, and other router needs when in a pinch. I used it to make an index rotatin gauge with incremental stops especially tor a fluting bit to make a column to fit in front of an entertainment center.

This bit made the perfect to slots for the fence on my NYW router station. Cuts were crisp in the MDF.

I used this to make a tall fence and to modify the router table that came on my Jet cabinet saw. It works perfectly!

While completing my New Yankee Deluxe Router Station I used this bit to make the various "T" slots in the fence. It was relatively easy to line up and cut through the MDF like butter. The slots are perfect. A great investment that I see myself using around the shop for the multitude of jigs I plan to build.

The nearest Rockler® to me is 200 miles away. While on holiday I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pick up something. Bought this bit thinking I’d use it eventually. That was a good decision. I have made a number of fixtures, jigs, and auxiliary fences for my tools. This is a good quality bit that has cut many feet of various materials. Still sharp after all this use. Congrats to the Pleasant Hill Rockler® staff, customer service was exceptional.

I purchased the 3/8 straight bit along with the T-Slot bit. 5/16 depth cut using a router table and fence. The bit grabbed the maple and pulled it in. I have never purchased a bit that has done that before! Very disappointed for the $.

As is the case with another reviewer, I also live far from the nearest Rockler store, so I bought one of these thinking that I might have some use for it in the future. It quickly became obvious that I made a very good decision. I've made a number of jigs and specialty fences already, and the bit works quite well with MDF.

Love Rockler.com!!! But....this bit only cuts the horizontal for the Tee bolt head. Another bit is needed for the channel. Show a picture with the product that tells the "hole" story.

Worked as stated but poor design should have cutter on the shaft so it could be a one step process

I finally got around to start building Norm's Router Table. I looked in more than one store for this bit before ordering from Rockler. Thanks for coming through again.

You have to rout a dado with a straight bit first. There is no cutter on the shaft up to the T-Slot cutter.
Editor's note: Item # 90462 in this offer is used for this first cut.
