Bought two 5 star knob with 1' stud 5/16' 18 tpi for a router dado jig. Tried to find locally but hardware had a knob and a bolt and told me to cut off the bolt. Rather than hand cutting the bolt would rather spend my time building jigs and woodworking so opted for buy. Work well.

Ordered 2 at different times, a week apart, products received where two different sizes, one had a long base and the other had a short base. Needless to say I couldn't use them as intended-on the same jig.

Great knobs for use on jigs and fixtures. I used the knobs on a mortising fixture I built. The plan called for studded knobs but the 1" length was too short. I ordered the through knobs and just used a carriage bolt to get the extra length. It would be nice if the stud knobs came in 1 1/2" or 2" lengths for mounting items through two 3/4" plywood thicknesses.

Rockler always means quality and fast service. This hardware #23804 5-star knobs with through hole, 1/4' 20 tpi is no different. I recommend Rockler to everyone.

I used these knobs to replace wing nuts on a jig I had made to make mortices with my router. What an improvement. Much easier on the hands. They work great for jigs. My local hardware store was charging nearly three times as much for identical knobs.

Overall these are great knobs for jigs, tool mounts etc.
However the 5/16 "T" knobs have a lock nut embedded in them, so they do not turn easily unless you re-tap them.
It would also be nice if the 5/16" and 3/8" stud knobs came in 1 1/2" and 2" lengths for mounting items to work bench. 1" is not long enough to secure a 3/4" plywood base. A hex head hole in the through knobs would be nice to convert them into a stud knob with a standard bolt.

I replaced the nuts that held the skids on my snowblower with these "T" knobs. Now I can adjust the height of the snowblower without carrying a wrench

These work great! I use them for attaching my planer, jointer, router table, and grinders to my bench using a piece of plywood attached to the tool then bolt down to bench using these knobs. All I have to do to switch between tools is loosen the knobs and slide the tool off the bench and slide the next one off. Works great for my very small shop. Thanks Rockler for carrying these, couldn't get them locally.

My wife got into rug hooking which requires various adjustable wood frames. The 5 star knobs are great for the clamping at the adjustment point. Rockler has some great products at very reasonable prices. A great internet source.

I used the star knobs for years to attach various parts of my robot. The photo shows four used to attach the head assembly. These knobs provide great strength with the added ability for quick release and attachment.

These knobs attach the fence of my router project to the T-Tracks imbedded in the table top. I also used the T-slot bolts and 2" T knobs to build a featherboard attachment.

I ordered 4 "through" knobs. They had a long base. It would be nice if the bases were shorter so the knobs would not stick out so much.

I recently purchased the five star knob to repair my light stands (pro audio). Had to improvise with just the knobs since there was only a 1 inch stud on the knob bolts. I used red loctite on 5/16" threadrod and was able to make the studs as long as I wanted. They work like new.. Thanks

On two knobs out of about ten that I've purchased from Rockler, I had to drill out some of the plastic inside the through-hole so that they would spin freely on the carriage bolts I was using. They have all worked very well in other respects.
