I needed a good thin kerf rip blade for my project and I spent quite some time reading all the product reviews for different blades out there. I settled for Freuds thin Kerf Combo Blade. Wow - a nice smooth quiet blade this is. It crosscuts walnut plywood with virtually no tear out, and rips stock lumber very smooth also. An exceptionally fine blade from Freud. Highly recommend this blade.

WOW! This blade is incredible. I've never spent over $20 on a blade, but the difference in performance is well worth the extra cost. I wish I had bought one of these 20 years ago. It cuts so much more smoothly, easily, and is whisper quiet. Highly recommended!

Wow, this is my fist good quality blade that I've ever used. It is so quiet, I honestly thought the blade was going down and not cutting the piece of wood at first. I honestly thought something was wrong... it was too quiet. The finish cut was as smooth as if I had run it against the jointer. Very impressed.

Recently purchased a Craftsman 10" table saw 15 amp, 5000 RPM and based on my research would require upgrading blade. I am building mostly shelves, bookcases, closet organizers, etc. so not overly demanding but need precision and quality on a budget. A visit to the Rockler store in Schaumburg and a brief conversation with the friendly staff lead me to this purchase. Thus far, wow! This blade cuts very smoothly and the kerf is just wider the blade itself. The selling point for me was when you click the blade with your thumb and forefinger there is no reverberation or vibration. A very solid, well made, and quiet blade. Cannot speak to the durability yet as I have just started using it.

Purchased this blade when the dealer was out of a thin-kerf Premier/Fusion. I was not disappointed in this less-expensive blade. As a matter of fact, I'd say its cut is comparable to the Premier/Fusion. I'd buy this blade again in a heartbeat. It whizzes through the wood.

Cuts smooth edges, whether ripping or crosscutting. The size of the shavings incredibly fine.

I think Freud blades set the bar for all other blades.
This is another excellent blade.

I am building a cherry cradle for my first grandson due in August. I had bad results with the blade that came with my Craftsman hybrid tablesaw. I thought about buying a Forrest Woodworker II blade but the price tag caused me to pause. Why not try the Freud thin kerf at half the price? I did and I can only say that the results are excellent with no buyers remorse. I know the Forrest blade is top quality, but so is the Freud. I cannot imagine that the Forrest blade could be any better than this one. I whole-heartedly recommend the Freud LU83R.

For lower powered saws, this is an excellent blade for those who do not want to change blades out all the time for different cuts. I cut oak all the time with a Ryobi BTS21R and this blade. Smooth as butter.

I found that the freud LU83R combination blade is an excellent saw blade for cutting any type of wood. I have had bad results with thin kerf blades in the past but I thought I'd try a Freud blade to see if it performed better. This one was a perfect choice.

My last experience with a thin kerf was in the middle ages. I decided to try again and was extremely pleased. My Jet table saw was delivered with a defective 3 hp. motor and the retailer replaced it with a 5 hp. motor so I do not lack for power, but the ease with which this blade cut 3 inches of cherry was stunning. I will have to reset my fence since the blade edge us further from the fence at a given setting than my standard kerf blade. My after market splitter also needed to be adjusted so it did not bind on the fence side of the more narrow kerf. Those adjustments being done, I am very pleased.

We use Freud blades at work and I knew the excellent quality I would be getting. I have only made a few cuts with my new blade on my 1 1/2 HP tablesaw. The LU83R010 Thin Kerf blade works great.

A friend told me a combination blade won't do either job well, but this one does. I hate to change blades for just a couple of cuts; now, I don't have to. Five stars!

I am new to wood working and just got my first table saw. I didn't even use it with the original blade and purchased the Freud LU83R. I don't really have anything to base it on but the quality of cut is awesome. I had very little if any tear out on cheap birch veneer plywood. Awesome blade!

The Freud is such an improvement from standard blades. Pushing stock through the blade is extremely smooth with little to no tear-out. The thin kerf is a must. It's brought the performance of my underpowered tablesaw up 110%. Highly recommended!
