If I had a shop full of every tool you can think of this would be in my top 2 of favorites. It works great, wish I didn't wait so long to get it, also wish I had the money for the master system. I was worried that this was going to be some cheap plastic jig but its solid all the way around. The photo is of a kitchen island I am making for my wife, and other than the trim for the table top the whole thing is put together with pocket screws, not even a drop of glue used. Still have a ways to go on it and a ton more pocket holes to make, 50+ pocket holes and the bit that comes with it is still going strong. If you build ANYTHING, buy this jig. Rockler and Kreg, can't beat em.

Certainly wish I hadn't waited so long to obtain the Kreg R3. All those glue, dowel, screw joints are almost a thing of the past. Simple to use, great Kreg quality and the fact it is adjustable for varying stock sizes even makes it more useful. Do yourself a favor and purchase the Kreg clamps at the same time. Saves time and hassle when you have the proper accessories. Like always, Rockler came through faster than anyone else. Product arrived within two days of the order and even beat their shipping confirmation! It pays to shop Rockler for quality products and speedy service.

This is a great product, I can actually make square joints now! I actually made a jig to make it stationary like the $100 Kreg product. The Kreg jig slips in and out of this so i can save a lot of time from clamping it against each piece of wood. Here is a picture of the jig I made, it's not the prettiest thing but it works, I bought the clamp from Rockler. The base is on 10"x10" oak stand i had lying around. I cut a 2x4 down to clear the jig. I put 6 Kreg screws in each side with glue. I made some thin shims to hold the jig in.

Professional quality product with professional quality results. I purchased this product to construct a birch plywood bed frame and headboard, but I soon found myself building shelves and a dresser to match. I highly recommend it.

I had been eyeing a Kreg jig for the longest time and I finally brought one and I have one regret, not getting it soon. I wish I brought when I saw one. but well worth the money and also purchased a premium Kreg clamp even better.

I bought this product wanting to economically try pocket hole joints. I have been very impressed with the results. Nice tight joints look professional with ease. I've edge banded melamine shelving, made picture frames, and several other projects with complete satisfaction. I'm already considering upgrading to one of Kreg's larger jigs, but this is well worth the money.

I gave this to my son-in-law for Christmas. He has used it to make raised gardening beds - and LOVED it. I didn't even know what it was, but the finished result is so impressive. Great product.

This is the first time I've used this and I love it! Does a great job. I strongly recommend the Kreg right angle clamp - part #154256. It was well worth the money and made the alignment perfect.

Awesome...simply awesome. I did not want to spring for the $139 K3, simply because I wasn't sure how much I would need the jig. However, after using it for a couple key sections in some on-going projects, I'm now hooked. I don't think that I will drill for dowels ever again...EVER!
So far I've tried the Kreg Jr. to joint a couple wood drawer slides for a vanity I'm building. I've completed 90% of the joinery with dowels, and I'm frankly tired of the fact that no matter how hard I try, I'm always slightly off (1/16" is enough to really make a difference). The Kreg Jr let me drill the remaining joints in 1/4 of the time.
Another project that I just finished with the Kreg Jr is some closet shelves. The shelves are a U shape, and I've hesitated to hang the center shelf (i.e. bottom of the U shape) because I didn't want to add additional supports (for aesthetic reasons), dowels weren't an option, and nails/brads wouldn't have been strong enough. After receiving the Kreg today, I was finally able to hang the shelf with pocket joints (drilling the ends of the center shelf into the sides of the two side shelves), and it is strong. I was honestly quite surprised at how strong the joints were and how stable the new shelf is.
Now I'm using it to assemble a hall table that I'm making out of reclaimed white oak. The screws do a great job of cutting into some VERY tough wood.
Although I'll probably buy the K3 kit eventually, I don't regret buying the Kreg Jr, because it really serves its purpose, and I'll be able to use it for most of my projects.

I have attempted various projects for our house and have been unsuccessful at making joints and/or square corners. This jig made it simple and was truly easy to use. My first attempt using this product was remarkable and my table project was a big hit with my wife and children. In fact they wanted to know where I bought the tables and were amazed at the quality. Thanks Kreg, you have rekindled my passion for woodworking!

This is a community/school theatre godsend. If you make canvas or hardwall flats out of 1x stock you need this jig. No more plywood corner blocks and straps for your rails and stiles. You can skin the flats immediately after assembly. The joints are strong enough to withstand the twisting that occurs when someone tries to "lay" a flat instead of floating it to the floor. Once you show them the basics, a crew of high school kids can assemble a show's worth of frames out of pre-cut stock in a a matter of hours. (Be sure to buy an extra face clamp so you can get an assembly line going.) This jig pays for itself (in time and materials) with the first show.

I have had and used this tool for over two years now. One of the sliding legs for depth adjustment snapped as I carelessly pulled on it. I looked and looked for a replacement and couldn't find one anywhere. Went back to KREG.COM and contacted their support via email and asked where I could purchase another leg. I got an email back the next day (Monday) and rep said he was sorry for the problem and would send one to me in the mail. I got it today, 3 days later, they had to pay $1.50 postage for delivery and now this tool is functioning again, no charge to me for my mistake. WOW, try that with anyone else. You would be laughed at, this is the best service I have ever received from anyone for anything. Fantastic, two years old and still working as well as the first day I tried it. Can't say enough about KREG. Not only does the tool do everything you could want from it but the company follows suit with actual service. BUT IT NOW! Don't wait!

I ordered the kit for my son-in-law who is another self-made wood craftsman like me. He stated he has had bits and pieces of a Pocket Hole Drill kit but this is the first time he has had everything he needed all in one neat package. The order was delivered on time for his birthday which made me even more happy. You can't beat Rockler for selection and service.

I purchased this kit because I am making some doors for a gun cabinet. This tool works perfectly. Such a great buy. It is very well designed and very easy to set up an use. I would recommend anyone that wants stronger joints to consider buying this kit.
I am also very impressed with the delivery of all Rocklers products. I ordered online and the next day I had it sitting on my door step. Just Awesome. And it was just the standard shipping method. Thanks Rockler!

This may just be one of the greatest tools ever invented. Just built a vanity and linen closet for our bathroom renovation. Ended up using the jig for all the joints. Made quick work of building the case and the face frame. Wish I would have found this tool earlier.

I got this jig kit for Christmas and I love it, I am always looking for excuses to get it out and use it. I hate to run out of projects and have to put it away, it is so easy and so fast you'll not believe it till you own it for yourself, it is one of the best tools I ever owned and I never plan to be without one again, it is the best, it makes quick work of a project and it super easy to use.

I believe this to be the single best tool I have ever purchased. I helped my friend build oversized door jambs and he was so impressed he now has a single pocket jig that we bought and a K2000 that he found in a sale. Thanks Kreg for a great tool.

The R3 is the perfect choice for the DIYer or enthusiast! I also own the K3, which is fantastic for the shop, but the R3 kit is my go-to pocket cutter when out of the shop! With the imprinted adjustments on the jig, and the collar set tool on the kit's tray anyone can create professional pockets out of the box! I just bought another R3 for my apprentice.
