Compared to the IGage, this is a big improvement. I tried the Igage and was unhappy with its accuracy. I replaced it with the Wixey angle block and found it to be spot-on. I trust this one.

Wonderful instrument. I used to go crazy trying to set my angles precisely. It is magnetic so one would think it could only be used on ferrous metals. Not the case. You simply zero it any item, wood, plastic, aluminum, whatever then you move it to a flat ferrous metal surface and you will get your angle reading.

I've been meaning to buy this gizmo for a while and finally found a use for it. I'm making reading stands that have to beat exactly 21 degrees. The little Wixey did the job. I was amazed to find that my SawStop angle guide was right on the money.

Now I can know that my angle settings are correct. I have always been lucky but not exactly on everytime. Now that can be a thing of the past even with compound cuts. This thing is great. I may buy another for me and maybe gifts.

I made an end grain cutting board that required multiple angle settings of the bandsaw table. Cutting vertically through a 9" tall block requires that the setting be accurate: even a 0.1 degree deviation will result in a 64th error that will accumulate to an unacceptable amount. I used the Wixey Digital Angle Gauge to quickly and accurately set the table angles. Using the Wixey was much quicker and easier than using angle blocks to set the table. Repeatability was excellent, which is also a requirement for successful woodworking. The Wixey is definitely a keeper!

I bought this on sale a while ago and used it for the first time yesterday, when I had to make a series of beveled rips on my table saw. Mostly it worked great, but it was slightly temperamental -- at one point, placing it on my saw's horizontal surface, it insisted on reading as 60 degrees. After turning it off and on again several times, it eventually started reading correctly again. It's a worrisome glitch that I hope doesn't recur. Aside from that instance, it worked very well throughout the day, and all my cuts came out accurately.

The Wixey performs as advertised. It is easy to use, reads to 0.1 degree, and that's more precise than I am able to match in adjustments. I used it right away on the miter saw (which turned out to be about 1 degree off), table saw, and drill press. It is so quick you wonder if you missed something else you should do. I'll grab it instantly when setting any miters or angles off the norm.

I am relatively new to woodworking and have been steadily adding to the tools, jigs and accessories that I need to make any task easier and quicker to perform. This angle gauge is one of the best additions I have made. There are not any questions concerning the blade angle anymore. It is always spot on and it makes making a minute adjustment a breeze. If you don't have one I highly recommend it be added to you tools. Great item.

this guage works great. i found all my machines were set at 89.6° so im hoping that having them at 90 makes a notable difference
the only thing bad about buying this guage is i wish i would have bought the protractor style guage instead as you cant measure miter angles with this one and i think the protractior style would be more useful

The Digital Angle Gauge is exactly the tool I have been needing! Just setting the table saw blade to exactly perpendicular to the table top has suddenly become so much simpler than before; and it is just as easy to set angles of any other size. Using the digital gauge is not only faster but more accurate than using protractors and/or squares.

When applying vinyl lettering to the sides of a vehicle a major problem is that its lines are rarely sitting parallel to the ground. I can tape the angle finder to a spirit level and, by using a line on the vehicle which I know is ideally parallel to the ground, use the zero function to transfer the setting to the graphics.

Excellent product! This little guage will show you exactly how inaccurate your squares are, and you might as well forget the scales that come with your power tools. After I opened up the package, and placed it on my jointer fence, it showed me that I was out 2 degrees, but my combination square was showing it right on. Same with the table saw. Now I know that my blades and fences are a perfect 90 degrees to each other. If you think you can get an accurate setting by using your combination or framing square, good luck. You'll get close, but for me, close is just not good enough.

I ordered this little device for setting accurate bevels on the sliding miter box primarily, and secondarily for bevel work on the table saw. Works just how I expected it to - easily zeros to any surface, and then once stuck on the blade, allows setting of very accurate angles. The sliding miter saw is notorious for inaccurate bevel settings due to the small scale - with this angle finder, I can easily get the bevel part of a compound cut accurate. Despite it's size, I'm sure this thing will play a big role in my shop.

My hobby is woodworking but my profession is industrial mechanic. This requires having machinest skills where acuracy to + or - .001 to .002 is pretty much the rule. I purchased this product for my woodshop. The first one I received was damage and would not zero. Rockler shipped me another one ASAP. It works great. I have been very happy with this product and have used it on both of my table saws and my drillpress.

Wow. Got this with my Christmas gift certificate. Saw some time ago and have been wishing for one for a long time. It is quick and works on everything I have. Used it to check the table saw stops, then went to my band saw and check the stops there. Since I do some drill press boring for the lathe checked the accuracy there too. It is very easy to use, placed it on the drill bit then the table to ensure that the hole will come out the center of any piece I am working on. Heading to my joiner next.
this is one of my favorite shop items.

This is a cool tool for those making compound miter cuts. To make great cuts for a raise picture frame, you need both the regular angle that the miter saw offers, but you need that other tilt angle. That one is the toughest since the scales on most power miter saws are some tight and don't offer good resolution. The digital angle gauge is THE answer. Just stick it on the blade and careful set the angle. It is a very sensitive gauge, giving angles to tenths of a degree, and it displays the numbers quickly as you adjust the blade tilt. Just hold the saw body close to your chest until it settles on the angle you want and tighten it up. I recommend this without reservation.

A nice new product that does what it claims. Unfortunately, I was hoping for just a little more. I wanted it for measuring movement limits on the airplane I am building. I just got this a few days ago and it seems to work really well. The 4 stars is only because I haven't had a chance to really use it yet.
Someone wrote in another review that every angle is relative to the surface that it's zeroed out on and you can't use the unit as a level. I've found that when you turn it on, it will give you a true angle reading without zeroing it out and the little arrow on the left side of the display will tell you which side is the high side.

I've had the Wixey Angle Gauge for about two years and don't use it very often. I needed it recently for a project and found that the reading was slow and way off. I replaced the battery and still had the same problem. After turning it on and off and resetting zero a number of times, the unit froze. After gentle tapping it started to read but then froze up and didn't read right. After more aggressive tapping, the unit started to read but continued to freeze. The problem is the internal pendulum getting stuck in a position. When it was new, the unit seemed to read angles accurately to within the 0.1 range. This unit should not fail after such infrequent usage.

When working, the gauge does what it is supposed to do and that is provide a digital reading of angle. Keep in mind, though, that the angle reading is relative, not absolute. In other words, you have to zero the gauge on a reference surface (usually the saw table) and then you can read angles relative to that surface. What you can't do is use the gauge as a level unless you first zero against a known level surface. It would be nice if it actually had both modes, relative and absolute, available. My only real criticism, and hence the lower rating, is that the battery will discharge even with the unit sitting on the shelf, probably due to current draw when idle. Mine died in 5 months. Since I don't use it regularly, I leave the battery out. Opening the battery cover is a bit of a struggle, too, due to shallow groves. The same number battery can run my wristwatch for 10 years, I would think it should last at least a few years in the gauge with infrequent use.

The gauge will come in handy for years to come, being able to cut at angles with an increased level of accuracy.

This is a very fine addition to the workshop. You probably won't use it every day but when you want dead on accuracy from your table saw this angle finder is worth the money it may save on one right or wrong cut. This acurracy is fantastic. I checked my Jet cabinet saw just to make sure the stops were set properly and to my amazement they were + or - 1 degree which merely meant I had to adjust the pointer on the blade adjustment. Very nice product.

Wow. I wish I had gotten one of these a long time ago. My table saw's thin-kerf blade flares outward near the teeth, making setup with a combination square a good guess, at best. This little device sticks beautifully on the flat part, underneath the flare, and is dead-on accurate. I feel like I just got a much better saw.

This gauge is a great value. I used it to set the stops on my new Grizzly G1023SL and it was really easy. I also used it to check my chop saw stops which I originally set using a combination square. The stops were right on, so no additional adjustment was necessary. I now keep the gauge handy, thanks to the magnetic bottom, and I use it to check blade settings for bevel cuts routinely.

The gauge works great! Makes angles perfect rather just close by using the saw's guage. However, I have a problem with the on/off switch. Most of the time it doesn't work. Makes using the gauge quite difficult. I stand there way too long trying to get it to turn on. In irritation, I almost threw it across the shop the other day. I've had it a relatively short period of time. Do I replace it or do I take it apart to try and fix it?
Editor's note: Ross, If the switch did not operate this way intially and you've tried replacing the battery with no luck, then it's time to give our customer support a call at 800-279-4441 so we can assist in getting a replacement to you.

From the moment I unpacked this product, it has proved it's worth time and time again. It has made precise setup effortless. I recently needed to cut some dovetail splines for a shadow box project I was making. The splines needed to be cut at a precise 14 degree angle to match the dovetail slots. With the Digital Angle Guage, it was effortless to set my table saw blade to a precise 76 degrees and rip my splines. They were 100% accurate. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs precise angles and let's face it, who doesn't.

What a change in setting up my tools -- no more wondering if I'm a hair off matching up the square. My son and I set up my table saw, the bevels on my miter saw and my band saw as soon as we unpacked it, in less time that it usually takes me to set up one. And it makes verification after changing settings a breeze. Of course, I am assuming that this digital device is dead-on accurate -- like my Incra squares which are guaranteed -- the little digits make it appear very accurate, but have not verified that. I just wish there were a equivalent to me to set up the miter settings on my miter saw.

It is SO quick and easy to use! Changing between different angles are no longer an annoyance. I not only use it for setting the blade angle on my table saw, but for setting the fence angle on my jointer, the vertical blade angle on my miter saw, and the table angles on both my band saw and drill press. Accuracy is everything and this takes the guess work and the tediousness out of these very important adjustments.

This gauge works great. Very nice feel, compact and seems well made. I checked my table saw stop and found it to be off only .1 degree; but I found that when I move off 90 and come back, the setting can vary .2 to .3 degrees. This gauge would definitely help getting to 90 every time. I highly recommend this gauge.

This is the best way to set up my saws. With traditional ways you have to rely on such a small area on the blade and the teeth get in the way. With this you just zero it out on the table and move it to the blade. Quick and easy. I've found ways to use it to find other angles too.

At first I was thrilled with the results. But, after a few uses I found that I can no longer rely on its accuracy. I have absolutely no confidence in its repeatability. For example, I can set the gauge on a reference plane (jointer infeed table), zero the guage, attach it to the jointer fence, and read 90.0 degrees. Repeat the exact process immediately, and read 84.0 degrees. I first thought it was a low battery condition, so I changed the battery TWICE, but with no improvement in its accuracy/repeatability. It is unfortunate because of all the setup gauges that I hoped would work well, this was the one I would have relied on the most.
