Don't miss those slamming cabinet doors at all!! Excellent product and each one can be installed in a couple of minutes using the right tools. I bought one at first to try it and see how good it was. Needless to say, I've bought more. You'll love 'em. Try it and you'll see.

The Compact Adaptor works really well. I've compared it to some cheap hardware store models and it's better built and more adjustable. Just be warned, it's a tight fit. You'll want a bendable drill/screw shaft/driver to get the pilot hole and screw in the tight confines of the corner.
I tried to use [973A] adapter but discovered too late that this adapter only fits full-overlay hinges. So if they work like the Compact Adapter, they're great, but be warned, they don't fit any clip-top hinge.

I saw these adapters in a store. Asked the clerk and learned about Rockler. I read the numerous positive reviews and ordered 20.
As others pointed out you need a flexible bit holding cable to drill close to the top, which is where the adapters suppose to go.
You also will not install 20 of them in 15 minutes, 1 hour is more reasonable.
Also, in case someone may not know, the hinges need to pull the doors close in order for these adapters to work.
Finally, I am totally satisfied with the results.

I am re-doing my kitchen and building some new cabinets and refacing others; but all are getting new doors and hardware. I installed on all the doors Blum clip top hinges (55933) and to make them perfect I added the Blum softclose adaptor. They work well but think they could be a little stiffer so when my grandchildren slam the doors the adaptors catch the door better.

One of the best "improvement" items I have ever purchased. They work just as claimed and now all our cabinet doors (kitchen and bath) close quietly. Only issue was during the installation, there is not much clearance room to drive the screws. I finally resorted to a flexible drive cable for my drill and it worked perfectly. It also helped to drill a piolt hole first. Great product!

The Compact works well. Installation is quick, but you need a small diameter screw driver or drill gun to get the device level.
I first used a standard screw gun to drive the first device in and the screw goes up at an angle because the gun's drive body diameter to not small enough fit under the top of the cabinet without creating an angle to the unit. So, only one cleat on the device touches the top of the cabinet (but it still works). I then borrowed a Milwaukee cordless screwdriver (Model 0490-20) and it's body diameter is small enough to get the device installed level.
Overall, very happy with the Compact device. We plan to order more to finish the remaining cabinets in the house.

My only issue with this one is that the hinge 55926 has changed over the past 2 years, so my old cabinets won't work with the snap on version. The new version of the hinge works fine with it. So if you have old ones, use the screw to the cabinet version.

I bought (40) 25756 to install on our new Kraftmaid Cabinet doors. Installed all (40) in less than 1 hour. Works fantastic...I could not be any happier. The loud banging noise is gone forever and I can now watch TV in peace. I only had to install 1 compact blumotion on every door. The adjustable damping feature is awesome too. I just ordered more to finish all the bathrooms.

I received my order of the compact version the other day and yesterday night I’ve install it and it’s awesome. Works and looks great on our cabinets. We had just remodeled our kitchen and didn’t know about the slow closing cabinet doors until we saw some highend cabinetry. Anyway, long story short our cabinets now like and feel like those highend ones.

I installed the compact version on my cabinets. They work great and were easy to install. The screw is self-tapping, so you don't need to pre-drill. It's a high-end upgrade at a low cost.

Liked the concept, looks good in pictures. I struggled for some time trying to fit the adapter on the back of the Blum hinge. Finally decided my hinge, installed 4-5 years ago must have a slightly smaller mounting hole on the top. Finally used a hammer. Yes, I know, it should not be that way. The adapter fit, not as tight as I would have liked, but it works. It is very true that the hinges must have enough pull to close the door or the adapter will hold it open. However, I have totally eliminated the noise of the door hitting the frame.

Both the compact and regular forms of this product are truly outstanding an a piece of cake to install. I put them on every cabinet that I make, and have retrofitted a number of cabinets as well.
They add a very professional soft close action (no more THUMP). They are very adjustable and very strong; I've found that even for large doors only one is usually necessary. They are also conveniently out of the way on the hinge side (unlike the Blumotion for cabinet doors, which go in the way, on the part of the cabinet that gets most action).
Use the compact form with any cabinet; they are very convenient for retrofitting old cabinets. Use the regular ones for new cabinets that have Blum clip-top hinges.

I used the compact blumotion for doors. This is a low cost way to upgrade all your cabinet doors and give them "major wow factor." Instead of the "wham, bang", no matter how hard you slam the door, the blumotion catches it, and then lets it slowly and quietly sink into the cabinet.
The compact is self contained and can be used with any kind of hinge. It is inconspicuous in the upper corner of the cabinet on the hinge side. Installation is very easy and it goes up in less than a minute with one screw.
You will need a drill, 1/8" drill bit and a Phillips screw driver. Make sure the adjustment screw is on the bottom. On a partial overlay door, snap on the little plastic extender (it can go on either side) and use the 2" screw provided. On a full overlay door, don't use the plastic extender and use the 1 1/4" screw. Position the Blumotion in the upper hinge corner. The spacer should be touching the stile (vertical part of frame), and the metal part touches the rail (horizontal part of frame.) There is a little lip that helps you position it correctly. Screw in the screw just enough to put a mark on the stile, then predrill the hole with a 1/8" drill bit, then install the Blumotion with the screw provided.
After seeing how great this works, I just put in an order for every cabinet door in my house.

Keeps kid's from knocking the panels out of cabinets when they slam them. The compact units work well for any type of application since they are stand alone and can be mounted to make contact with the door.

I was excited to receive these as I had been looking for soft close hinges which were a little out of my price range.
While they work OK, they were difficult to install.
My cabinet frames are very hard, so I had to drill a pilot hole, not really a problem except the hole was so close to the top frame that it ended up at a slight angle because of the size of my drill.
Couple that with the fact that the flanges on the spacer were not wide enough to span the cab frame and the end result is a very angled device. Again it works OK on the large doors, but certainly not good the large but narrow doors these slam the hardestand when the door is open they are unsightly.
I probably could have figured most of this out by a closer look at the specs, my fault.
I might try the hinge adapter next, but first more research.

They work great! Sweet, stately, silent closing action. More convenient, to my way of thinking, than the hinges with the built-in pneumatic closers. Clip 'em where you need 'em. They go on and come off easily by hand one you learn how to nudge 'em. I did a 19-door kitchen, and never had a problem with getting a quick positive fit of the closer and the hinge. Finally, it was easier and faster to order online. My local store was baffled by a warehouse mixup, and my deadline drove me online. Great and fast service online.
