This Replacement Cup eliminates the hassle of transferring finish back and forth from the can to the sprayer, and then having to clean up afterwards. Simply unscrew your most recent finish, cap it, and screw on the Replacement Cup with your next finish! With a seperate cup for each of your finishes, you’ll save time, effort, and eliminate the risk of contaminating your finish. You can also store solvent in a cup, which makes cleaning out your spray gun a breeze. Designed to work with our HVLP Spray Gun (61577). Sealed lid ensures a long shelf life. Graduated cylinder has metric and imperial scales up to 800 ml or 28 ounces. Made of durable, lightweight plastic that will not dent or shatter.

These replacement cups are excellent. I would suggest at least one per type of finish/stain you intend to use. Also, get one for the solvent to clean the sprayer.

This replacement, or additional, cup fits the HVLP sprayer nicely and is actually better than the original cup supplied with the sprayer. The markings are useful when diluting paint and the lid is nice to store paint until the next application. A must for any user of the sprayer. I had no leaks or problems mounting to the sprayer.

I purchased the replacement cup along with the HVLP sprayer. Fit fine and worked great. I like the clear cup better than the black one that comes with the sprayer. Easier to see how much is in the cup. I left some poly in it for a few days with the lid on it. Stayed fresh and sprayed fine. Having one or two of these makes spraying and cleanup a lot easier.

I have had absolutely no problem with the replacement cup I purchased. No popping off the sprayer, no cracking of the lid. I think it's an invaluable addition to the HVLP sprayer, for a number of reasons. First, it allows you to keep several different finishes on hand and ready to spray if you need to (the lid includes an O-ring to help maintain a good seal). It also is translucent and has graduated markings on the side so you can mix coatings and thinners effectively. For me though, the best feature is being able to see the amount of coating you have as you work. The HVLP sprayer tends to spatter a little as it runs out of liquid, and this allows you to stop and refill before you get to that point, and avoid possible damage to your project's finish.

The first one of these I bought leaked badly but short story the new ones work fine. The problem does indeed appear to be fixed, you can see the difference in the new one. Beefier threads and so far hasn't come off or leaked.

Rockler is correct, the tightening issue to the sprayer appears to have been corrected. My issue is the cover cracked the first time I used it and now the cover cannot be tightened! Sort of ruins the idea of the extra cup. I love the sprayer!
Editor's note: Just give a call to our customer support and we'll be able to get you a new cover.

I just purchased 3 of the replacement cups for the sprayer (Item #61577)that I bought a year or so back. LOVE the sprayer. HATE the replacement cups. They appear to be just a shade too small at the threads. It is the dickens to get them tight enough not to leak when the HVLP sprayer is powered up and the cup pressurizes. If you attempt to get them tight enough the threads "pop" and you start he process over. Of course at this point you have paint all over you and the floor. If you can find just the right amount of pressure to twist the cup on with that allows the cup to seal to the sprayer and not "pop" the threads you can begin spraying. BUT BE GENTLE! Even light shaking "pops" the cups loose with the attendant paint being blown everywhere by the pressure in the cup. :( I'm very disappointed with this purchase.
Editor's note: Rockler has researched this issue and believe that the problem was isolated (possibly from one manufacturing lot) and we believe that current cups no longer display the issue that has been described. We have contacted the manufacturer and changes have been made to insure the product performs correctly. This does not effect current stock.

I bought the hvlp sprayer and a extra cup. The directions that came with it were useless. The unit works great and is easy to clean between uses. The cap with the extra cup does not fit on the black cup that comes with the spray kit.

Great product, I've had no problems with leaks. Wish I would have bought a few of these now instead of just one.

The concept is great but as with the other reviews the threads are terrible. It does not screw onto the gun (that is great) like the original cup. I find it very difficult to use it w/out leaking. I end up pouring the finish out anyway. Works great for storage not for spraying. Not a good investment.
Editor's note: Donny, this sounds like you may have our earlier version of this cup. The current stock of the 33193 now has better threading and will not leak.
