Table Saw Crosscut Sled

No more squinting at those tiny scales! This Crosscut Sled features a large protractor scale way out at the end of the fence, allowing you to precisely tune your angles for air-tight miters and crosscuts. Easy-to-read 1/2° graduations and a hair-line indicator ensure error-free setups. Spacious MDF surface works perfect for crosscutting large panels, while self-adhesive low-friction tape allows easy sliding. Heavy-duty aluminum fence features an adjustable MDF face and a sliding flip-down stop. An aluminum hold-down slides along a separate slot to prevent material from shifting during the cut. Spring-loaded ball bearings in the miter bar are adjustable for a no-slop fit to the track and smooth, accurate cuts.

1/2" thick 23-3/4" x 23-3/4" MDF table with melamine coating. Easy-to-read 1/2° graduations and a hair-line indicator ensure error-free setups. Extra material allows you to cut the sled down to fit your saw perfectly. Right edge of sled functions as a zero-clearance chip breaker. Includes four 2' pieces of 3/4" wide self-adhesive low-friction tape for smooth sliding of the platform and fence. Aluminum fence measures 3"H x 25"L. MDF fence face measures 2-7/8"H x 27"L. MDF Fence face can be removed for replacement. Spring-loaded ball bearings in the miter bar have adjustable tension to eliminate slop. Adjustable 90° stop. Requires standard miter track 3/4" w x 3/8" deep Optional Crosscut Sled Drop-Off Platform also available.

The only reasons I did not give it a five are as follows; 1. The directions were horrible. I was pretty sure that I needed to trim the sled and the offcut table but at $100 was nervous and looked to the instructions..it was not mentioned. So I sent an email to March Spagnolo (The Wood Whisperer) and he told me to let it rip, or cross cut anyway... (It is because Marc Featured this product on a video about AFWS that I bought the sled and Bench Cookies, so nice job sponsering him Rockler. Keep it up as a result I no longer shop at Woodcraft.) 2. The low fricition tape did not adhere well so I don't use it. No big deal though becuase my TS is always lubricated.

Used it to cut small profile picture frame material with it working very well. Should be packaged in a more substantial container as appears to be very easily damaged during shipping. The damage mine sustained was trimmed off during the set up.

7) Submitted by David Geoffroy, from Elk Grove, CA on 7/2/2009 Customer Rating: It works great every time I use it. The angle markings are easy to read and adjust. The blade is against the the table so all you have to do is set the cut mark on the edge and that's where it will be cut.
