2-1/2'' Dust Port for Deluxe Router Fence

This extra-tall dust port is an ideal fit for the Deluxe Router Fence (30136). It also has a flat interface on the back so you can connect your Incra Jig (25971) and Rockler fence without sacrificing dust collection. The included baffle allows you to direct suction to a smaller opening when necessary. Also works with other incremental adjustment systems.

I am very pleased with the performance. Between the box below my table and this dust port I collect almost 100% of the dust.

Even better would be a pair of detents in the mold that indicate quickly and easily where to drill the holes for the Rockler/Incra Jig.

7) Submitted by Jeff Stanko, from Greensburg, PA on 4/13/2008 Customer Rating: While the website list the I.D. as 2 1/8", the box that the Deluxe Dust Port comes in list the I.D. as 2 1/4". I purchased mine from the store. 2 1/4" I.D. is the same size as the four piece router accessory kit 53756. Beware if you buy this and have the dust port from kit 53756, you will probably have to buy another adapter or rig something up. I do not have an adapter for 2 1/8". Beware of this mistake on the box. Rated this product as fair, somebody should have given this some more thought and had the deluxe dust port made with the same specifactions as their dust port in kit 53756. Editor's note: misprint for id listed on package will be corrected in future printing of package. As illustrated in photos in this offer and on item's package this dust port (as well as the regular dust port in the 53756 accessory package) are recommended to be used with a 2-1/2" hose such as our 22784 fitted on to the outside of the port, rather than the inside.

The attachment is designed for a 2" dust collection system hose. I easily adapted it to my shop vac with a 2" drain coupler (the rubber type with 2 hose clamps) and a shop vac hose coupler. Easy no leak [or tape] connections now. :-)

11) Submitted by John, from Centennial, CO on 11/14/2008 Customer Rating: I not sure what connector Rockler expected me to use but I expected to hook this dust port up to my 2 1/2 inch dust collection hose connectors as all my other shop tool ports can do. I was wrong. the O.D. is too large for my standard size 2 1/2 inch hose quick disconnect connector to fit over and the I.D. is too small for the male end of the hose to fit into. I made the mistake of permantly fixing this item to my router fence before I discovered this problem. With a few trips to the local Rockler store for an adapter (they don't have one) and then to the local plumbing supply, I rigged an adapter and can now use my fence dust collection. Unless you are planning on using this dust port only with Rockler supplied hoses, I would not buy this product.
