Made from genuine wood flour, these fillers closely emulate the
properties of real wood. They can be stained, sawed, drilled, sanded,
planed and nailed, just like the real thing. They show no noticeable signs of
shrinking or cracking, so you’ll only have to apply it once for a
smooth repair. It spreads smoothly and evenly, and sinks into gaps. No
mixing is required, and it dries in only 15 minutes. Suitable for interior or
exterior use. Available in 10 colors.
Instructions for use:
- Match wood filler color to unfinished wood. Always test filler,
stain and finish combination on small area.
- Press wood filler into defect.
- When dry, sand flush with surrounding surfaces.
- Sand and finish after approximately 15 minutes.
- Use Famowood Solvent (54684) for cleanup.
- Over time, the filler in the can may thicken. Use Famowood Solvent
(54684) to restore
wood filler to its original consistency.

Pulled out my maple Famowood filler that I had not used for a year or so and found it completely dried and solidified. Added the solvent, and with a bit of scraping and mixing, then letting it sit, it completely went back to a putty form. So I was positively impressed by this aspect of the product.

I love this product the only thing about the cherry wood putty is that it could be a shade darker. Other than that it works great. Will by more Famowood in the future. Thanks.

Finally bought the putty solvent. Should have done it years ago!. Did the job on almost solid putty and it is now usable. Made the putty almost equal to new.

I cannot say enough good about the Famowood wood filler. I am a serious hobbyist, not a pro but I want things to turn out right. I am in the process of building a piece of oak furniture. With all of the trim, and molding cuts I had a couple of joint that had small gaps. In the past if I used a wood filler you could always tell it when you stained it. I used this product and you simply can not see it which made the project turn out great and made me look good. I would recommend this to anyone needing a wood filler

It's the best that i have ever used! Applies, sands, stains and finishes great. Cuts about 75% labor by the end result. I'll keep using and recomend the solvent for ease of use in small dings.

I have been using Famowood Filler for the last 12 years and have found no other product that does what it does any better. Minimum shrinking when dry and easily applied. Can mix colors to make a perfect match.

Well, I was disappointed that I recieved the tiny 6 oz can rather than the pint size I buy locally for only about a buck and a half more. Admittedly, it did say 6 oz in the catalog, but I didn't even know they made a can that small. And erroniously assumed it was just a good deal on the "normal" can. (Lesson learned once again: READ THE AD, assume nothing. Aside from that, the usual great Rockler service, the backorder arived only one day later, and of course Famowood is great stuff, irregardless of size of the can, heheh.

I purchased the product after seeing how well it was reviewed. I am very dissapointed. The only way I can rationalize between the reviews and what I am seeing is that I must have received a bad batch. The color is a rusty orange (no rust in the can, just the same color). It seems the orange rises to the top when it sits for a couple of days. I've been sopping it up with a paper towel and then mixing it up again with some of the recommended solvent. I hope to get it to somewhat match the color displayed on the lid.

There is no substitute when it comes to the best of the best. That what Famo is all about. You simply will not find a better wood filler. Its ability to basically become invisible is what sets it apart from everything on the market. Nail holes vanish, slight imperfections in a mitered joint seam together. The only down side, hard to come by. Not readily available at your local box store etc etc .
