Bora Clamp N Cut Edge Guide

As any woodworker knows, not every angle is 90°. That’s why Bora™ has designed the first and only edge guide with swiveling pads that angle up to 22.5° in either direction. It’s a light, fast and inexpensive way to make precise angle cuts on sheet goods. The quick cam-action clamp secures in a fraction of a second, while the sliding clutch automatically engages and disengages. Oversized handle provides a full grip and maximum leverage. With aircraft-grade extruded aluminum construction, you’ll get a lightweight guide and arrow straight cuts.

Ideal for circular saws, jig saws and routers. Can also be used as an auxiliary fence on a table saw, band saw or drill press. Large rubber clamping pads hold material firmly without marring the work. Integral hanging loop for convenient storage.

I have only used a few times so far but find the sliding catches tend to bind on the metal surface. Perhaps some wax or through more use, this will get better. I bought this as a saw guide & it does that well without any bow in the guide & the clamping feature is handy as well for gluing projects.

2) Submitted by Tom Lawrence, from Racine, WI on 7/18/2009 Customer Rating: I had an old wooden storm door sagging at the hinges and was hitting the threshold on the latch side. Clamping the straight edge at a small angle I was able to saw off the offending corner while keeping the bottom line straight. The guide performed flawlessly to correct this issue. Guide was tricky at first to adjust. Also the channel was to high for a small circular saw to clear. A full sized 7-1/2 saw had to be used.

There are so many times the wood piece is too large to use on my portable table saw and I have to use the circular saw to try and cut a straight line. A must have tool!
