I bought this bit because it is the closest I can get to match the rest of the trim in our old farm house.
I recently acquired some 100+ year old Douglas Fir, that I saved from a remodel job at a paper mill building. Just so happens that my farm house used the same wood throughout.
I had recently added a closet and the matching trim from this wood and bought this bit to match the top trim.
This bit went through this 100+ year old wood, and if anyone knows Douglas Fir when it is dry it tends to be very susceptible to splitting and chipping.
This Freud Quadra cut made a clean well formed Cove and Bead in this wood! Well Done Freud!
I recommend the Quadra Cut router bits to anyone looking for router bits, I know this is all I will buy now!

I'm giving this bit an excellent since I've used Freud bits before. I restore antique furniture and have a radia missing about 12' run of molding. This came as close to any to matching the needed profile.

I have been buying other makes of router bits but you haven't got a good one until you have a Freud, these bits are head and shoulders above the others. No black burn marks to sand for hours just a great clean cut. Highly recomended.

I initially used this bit on 3/4 inch pine. It cut as fast as I would push the board. As a test, I did the cross grain cuts without a backing board. There was no breakout. After I did 4 pine boards (about 22" X 6"), I used the bit on some red oak (2' x 1'). It cut just as smooth with no breakout. I think it is a fantastic product.

I used this router bit for the first time making a clock. I hate the clean up, but with this bit there was no clean up. Please add more Quadra-Cut bits to your line!

Used the bit for edge finishing on doors and drawer fronts. I've seen tear-out from other bits I've used, so I was concerned, because this is the final step. Not
worried anymore, smoothest cut I've ever seen from a router bit. I wish there had been a whole set of these
bits.

I used the Quadra-Cut bit to edge a white oak picture frame. It cuts excellent with no burning or chipping. No finish sanding needed after cutting. Freud needs to make more patterns in the Quadra-Cut line.
