Freud's Quadra-Cut Router Bits Feature an Exclusive 4 Cutter Design!
For the cleanest finish for routing the edges of hard or soft wood, woodworkers can look to Freud’s new Quadra-Cut router bits. These unique, patented bits employ four cutting edges, versus the industry standard of two, for a flawless finish on the most delicate of materials.
Two of the carbide cutters have an upshear angle to remove most of the stock. Then the pair of downshear cutters make a final cut to produce an ultra clean edge.
Industry standard bits that only have two cutters can leave fuzz and splinters on the top surface, especially in cross grain cuts, but Freud’s new Quadra-Cut bits leave a surface that requires no sanding or rework.

There is a huge difference between high quality bits and normal bits. This bit is very high quality. It cuts smoothly, no vibration, no muss, no fuss. Love it.

I recently purchased the 1/2in Round-over Bit to go w/ the 5/16 in I owned previously. I have cut pine, cypress, walnut, and oak; in all cases the cuts have been clean and w/o splinters/ fuzz. Definitely worth the money.

I would definitely recommend this bit. If all the new quadra-cut bits cut like this then I will be purchasing more. The cut is smooth with no tear out or burns. Even across the grain it cut smoothly. Well worth the money.

I made a safety gate for our grandson out of white oak, as our staircase is 48" wide. The quadra cut roundover bit put a beautiful finish on the edges with no splintering or burning. I am so looking forward to Freud making more quadra cut bits. I will be definitely purchasing more in the future.

I'm making stair treads out of bamboo plywood and used the Freud roundover bit to make the bullnose. I was concerned about chipping as the saw splintered the wood a lot. The router bit cut it cleanly.
