I didn't realize it, but before I bought this measurement tool, I wasted a lot of supplies, time and ultimately money. This little gadget is outstanding. If you need accuracy - down to 64ths - this is the absolute best measurement tool you can have! As already mentioned, it is best to use a 0.5mm pencil with it. Strongly recommended and worth the $

I have been looking for an accurate measuring device and this is it. It holds your marker at the same measurement all the way. I used to hit something and vear off before I got done measureing. I would recommend it to anyone that needs an accurate measuring device.

I bought the 12" rule this past weekend. This thing is super accurate and very nice. I wish it was a tad beefier, but I think that marking through it would be more difficult. I made 2 jigs this weekend that were superbly accurate because of this rule. I am more than satisfied with the product and the service at the retail store first time visiting. It was kind of a long drive, but well worth it. This tool will get used a lot in my home tinkering shop.

If your looking for a very accurate lay-out tool, this is one of the best tools out there...
I have found that it works best to use a 0.5mm mechanical pencil when making marks. This helps to insure your marks are clean and easy to see.
I do feel that the unit is a bit pricey, but if you need accurate marks down to 1/64", this is one of the tools you need in your arsenal.

Excellent lay-out tool. It is especially useful for marking multiple sides of a board and the thin metal is much easier to work with than a tri-square.

This does everything they claim is does and more. It is the first tool I reach for when laying out a project. The accuracy of the marks, the quality of the tool, and the multiple uses make it a "must have."

I recently purchased the 6" T-rule version to help in laying out some raised panel doors, wish I had this item years ago. This is a must have item for any woodworker, or machinist for that matter. I love the ability to mark within a 1/64th of an inch, not to mention common fractional sizes as well. I also own the 18" marking ruler, and I think Incra makes the best products.

I have the 3" Tiny T, and I think it is among my most favorite tools to use in the shop. It hardly ever gets put back in the cabinet. You can't beat it's accuracy for laying out your work. I'd say a person could do about 90% of what they needed with the range of the 3" version, where the smallest measured increments are most critical.

I have the 12" version. It is most wonderful to have such precision at that length. I like that I can use it for hardware layouts on curved box front surfaces. The 12" version is too long and unwieldy for many applications. I will get a short one as well, for border, molding, and edge layouts.

I aready had a 18" Incra T-Rule but it can be "unruley" when trying to mark on smaller boards, especially on the edges.
The 3" Tiny-T is just right for doing markings on small pieces or board edges. Great for doing mortise layout etc.
I've also added the 6" T-Rule and Incra protractor to my layout tools collection.
Incra makes a great product!

I got the 12" version for myself and have fallen in love with it since the very first time I used it. It does take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of where the scales are it is very fast and convenient.

I have the 6" version and could not imagine getting along without it. Layout is so much easier... everything from mortises to pulls. Accurate to 1/64, this little rule has saved me a lot of setup time because I have found that my test cuts end up being right on target. Be sure you have a mechnical pencil though... it won't work without one. Check out the regular rules... also very handy.

I bought the 6" version, and I must say it is a pleasure to use. It takes a little while to get used to the large amount of information on the face (there are a LOT of holes and a lot of markings), but as long as you double check what you're doing, accurate measurements are easy to get.

Got this a few weeks ago and opened it. Works very well like no other marking tool you can buy except I noticed an oddity! On the 64ths scale, each 16th was only marked as a 6! I emailed Linda at Incra and she responded within hours and immediately sent me a replacement-got it in three days. Incra is checking their stock. Don't let this dissuade you as when it comes to precision-Incra rules, and I am surely impressed with their customer service! I only bring it up so you can check yours if you already bought one. It is easy to miss! Anyway, love the accuracy and versatility of this tool and would buy anything Incra makes without hesitation! Incra has a clean website and a contact link at the top of their page.

I bought this tool to replace my lost wheel marking gauge. The Precision T-Rules, as the name implies, is very good at making accurate marks. It works best on fine-grain smooth wood without any raised grain. When I tried it on pine boards I frequent broke the tip off my pencil. Good for fine furniture making, but not for regular carpentry.

I love the ruler, but have problems with using a mechanical pencil with it. On anything but the smoothest lumber the pencil lead breaks off a couple of times on every mark. On open grain like Oak or Ash, I have found that a freshly sharpened No. 2 is the only thing that will hold up. I have tried the mechanical pencils from the same shelf in the store and a couple from an office supply.
