I got this to go with a Jet jjp-12 jointer planer for my small shop. The shop has a very uneven floor and other mobile bases were both flimsier and much more likely to bottom out. This is simply amazing in how well it works with the 530 pound jointer/planer.

I was amazed how easily I could push around my Delta Unisaw (vintage 1976, 400+ Lbs) on the rough concrete floor of my shop. I just bought another one for the 17" bandsaw and now we'll see how it does with about 600 Lbs. on it. Based on what I have experienced so far, I would say no problems. Simplicity in design, large wheels, fit, finish, and overall quality are all excellent. You get what you pay for. Far better that the Shop Fox bases I have been using.

I have to admit I was skeptical about buying such an expensive base, but I can now say it was definitely worth it! I installed this on my Craftsman contractor saw and it really does make moving the saw almost effortless. I have a basement shop and the floor is less than perfect, the house itself is 100 plus years old and the floor has its issues. The stand rolls right over the imperfections with no problem. I am one of those people that wasted money on several other mobile bases before getting this one. Each of them was less than perfect to say the least, and the idea of lifting my saw by the fence rails every time I need to move it just seemed ridiculous. None of that with this stand, just unlock the wheels and roll the saw in place. And when I’m done, roll it back to the corner out of the way. If I add up the money I wasted on other stands and had just bought this model first, I would have saved money.

One of the best mobile bases I've seen in a long time. Well worth the money. Here's a bit of advice to save you time and trouble- if you need to purchase the extension kits to accommodate a larger machine you should do so. I thought I could use my own steel to accomplish that task and it wasn't the same thing and I ended up purchasing extensions from Rockler. While they may look like just plain flat steel they are in reality hardened and rolled with just a slight curvature that makes them stiffer.

Most of my shop equipment is sitting on Rockler's Mobile Bases band saw, router table, Miter Saw table. Now my very heavy, old Sears Jointer/Planer sits on the All Terrain Mobile Base. Although its a couple hundred pounds, it rolls around the shop and over power cords quite easily. The usual excellence we expect from Rockler's products.

Definitely solid enough to hold the advertised weight, rolls easily and locks down well. There is one thing to look out for. I bought it to put my bandsaw on with the factory base cabinet, but the door wouldn't open that way. The non-swiveling casters block the sides.

I have just purchased my seventh All Terrain mobile base from you.

1 Shop Fox contractor table saw
2 Rockler router table
3 Ancient but lovingly restored Delta-Milwaukee 14" bandsaw with integral speed reducer gearbox
4 A stand I made to support a disk-belt sander and an 8" bench grinder
5 Delta drill press with Rockler table and fence
6 JET gravity fed metal cutting band saw
7 Ryobi electric log splitter

My workshop is a two car garage, which has been insulated and is heatable with a commercial grade IR
overhead tube heater that burns natural gas and stirs up zero dust.

It is very important for me to be able to easily move equipment into place for the task at hand, and
there is nothing more convenient for this than your All Terrain bases.

Did I see similar orange rollers on the capsule that rescued 33 Chilean miners?

Five Stars are not enough to express my praise.

A great mobile base for my unusual project. I have spent several years assembling an F-4 Phantom ejection seat and because of its size 5" tall and 250+ lb weight it is very difficult to move around. This base was easy to assemble, it only took 5-10 minutes. The base is easy to adjust, I also purchased the extension set A, and now my "seat" can move anywhere with the slightest touch. This base is good for anything in your shop.

I just purchased and very large/heavy Jet band saw. I don't have a large workshop area and know, at times, I will have to move it out of it's parking spot for cuts on larger stock. I spotted the Rockler All-Terrain Mobile Base and was instantly interested. 'All terrain'?, could I take my saw 'off roading' ? Looking at the size of the wheels, probably could. The nice feature is they are are on brackets which keep the base frame close to the floor for great stability. Off to my local dealer to get one. My base is now together and the saw is on it. The whole rig moves with finger pressure when I want it too thanks to those wheels and holds in place with the wheel locks 'on'. I have other bases from the past under other equipment in my shop, but this is definitely the best ! Assembly went fairly easily. IF I wanted to nit-pick, just a few minor items. There are no assembly sheets, assembly is supposed to be intuitive, but for those like me who have moments of mental density: Inside the box are 4 wheel/frame assemblies and 4 extension bars drilled with holes to match up with holes in the wheel frames, and a poly bag of nuts, bolts and lock washers. It's simply a matter of matching up the appropriate holes to get the dimensions you want for the base. At first I was placing the extension bars along side the wheel frames but the bolts wern't long enough to make it through. Then I noticed that the wheel frames are bent to form 'tunnels', inside which the extension bars slide. Would have been nice if something pointed that out in the beginning. So now the bolts were long enough, or were they? With the lock washer and nut both on and tightened, the bolt made it only half way through the nut, holding on by just a couple of threads. Could forget the lock washers I suppose. The other issue has to do with EVERYTHING I have put together made in China. When other countries produce nuts and bolts, the threads at the end of the bolt taper in slightly before ending. This makes getting the nut lined up and started properly with out cross-threading far easier. But not the Chinese, their threads just end which makes getting the nuts started on the bolts a challenge at best. Maybe someone will tell them. And you better be well-equipt with a good set of open end/box end/ratchet/ allen wrenches to put their stuff together. One suggestion. I put the FRONT of my saw on the end of the base with the fixed/non-castoring wheels. This provides better lateral stability and easier access to the wheel locks. Unfortunately, when rollong the base, the wheel locks on the castoring wheels face the 'outside' on one wheel but are hidden on the 'inside' on the other, making it difficult to get both brakes 'on' at the same time. So I keep them behind the saw. Even with these minor failings, I still give this mobile base highest marks, it's performance is great !

I looked for a mobil base for a recent cabinet saw purchase. After considering the products on the market I settled on the Rockler All Terrain. It handles my 500 lb saw with ease, even over my un-even old concrete floor. The wheels are large but set up above the base to keep the elevation low. They lock easily and the base structure is built solid. My final decision to purchase this product was the knowledge that all the Rockler products I have bought have been better than expected.

I bought this All Terrain Mobile Base for my new Sears Craftsman table saw that weighs 400 pounds. With this base I can move my saw from my small shop to our back yard so I can deal with full sheets of plywood and good sized lumber. The base is well made and it was easy to assemble and connect to the saw. It is worth the money.

I have a tiny shop and must roll out most of my power equipment across a door ledge onto a car port to produce sawdust. I purchased 2 of the All Terrain bases, one for a 400 pound Makita Planer-Joiner and the other for a 565 pound Delta 20" bandsaw. Both machines can be moved and roll over the ledge with minimal effort. I suggest you bolt top heavy equipment such as a bandsaw to the base to reduce tipping. Great product.

I love this mobile base. I bought this base so that I could put a Grizzly G0623X sliding table saw on it. Basically, it the base made it possible for me to get a sliding table saw for my shop. I can push the saw aside with one hand, but when it's locked down, even with just the two non-full-rotating wheels, it's rock solid.

I bought this mobile base for an old Rockwell/Delta 9" power saw. I have a small garage and I need to roll the saw up a ramp, over a 4" curb when the saw is not in use. The mobile base works great! Very strong and very simple assembly. The only change I would make is to have the castor type wheels on all four corners. I would even settle for a way to purchase two of the castor type wheels and base corners so I could modify the base I already have.

I recently purchased and installed this mobile base on my Woodmaster 718 molder/planer. To say I'm satisfied would be an understatement of epic proportion. It was a tedious task to move the 600 lb machine from storage to production area, with the casters provided. Now I can move it fore and aft literally with one index finger applying 30 pounds of force. Two thumbs up for this mobile base. And, also, a nod of approval for Rockler being a top-notched company. I do not hestitate to recommend them to my woodworking friends. Every order has been flawless. Thanks.

I use this for my MiniMax T3 shaper which weighs a good 400 pounds. It is very stable and it glides very easily.
There were no instructions in my box, probably because assembly was dead simple and obvious. It took maybe ten minutes. Lifting the shaper was another matter!
I drilled through the corner flanges in the base so I could bolt the shaper to it. It's fairly mild steel which made drilling easy.
I highly recommend it.

I have a micro workshop and need mobility on all my equipment. I just purchased a 20-950 delta drill press, which weighs in at just under 300 pounds and is extremely top heavy. I was very concerned about a mobile base under this unit. This mobile base works! I attached it to a 24x28x1 inch plywood base and set it in the mobile base with some screws through the spreaders and it is rock solid. For even more stability you could use the supplement spreaders and larger plywood. (Floor space dictated the size I used.) It moves with very little effort thanks to the large wheels. The only changes I would like to see are some holes in the corner plates for attaching plywood and the option to have 4 swivel casters versus 2.

I purchased this mobile bas for my stationary planer over the rest because of the wheel size and locking casters (vs. the bases where you have to fiddle with knobs or pedals to lock the base in place). The fit and finish quality are very good. While I believe the price is too high, I couldn't find another mobile base that fit my needs for the money. I also had to purchase the extension bars because it was too small by an inch, so that added an additional $20+ to the purchase price. Now I want to upgrade the rest of my mobile bases to this one too!

I was concerned about getting a quality mobile base to use under my new planer. I had been burned in the past by other companies mobile bases that claimed high ratings and failed quickly under load, or were just plain hard to move around.
The Rockler All-Terrain Mobile Base was easy to assemble taking just a few minuets. The casters were huge compared to the other tools in my shop. Almost everything on the base was welded. Because the front of the planer I was putting into the base was curved I cut a piece of ply to go in the base. After placing the 600lb planer on the base I was pleased to discover that it was easy to move. And I mean super easy! It is easier to move than tools half its weight on other bases. This has become my go to base. A bit more money but a lot more quality.

I have long awaited a mobile base that would really be able to handle my heavy Grizzly cabinet style table saw. I have tried at least 3 other kinds of bases but none has done the job like this one. It rolls and turns effortlessly and stays level. A little pricey but worth it. I highly recommend it for heavy machinery.

I don't usually leave feedback but after the overly simple assembly and outstanding quality of this base, I just couldn't resist. The base and extension kits are seriously fantastic. Though it is not advertised, I used 2 of the extension "A" kits to create a 36" by 36" size to hold my 250 pound Craftsman radial arm saw. The caster set on my saw is a joke that I have lived with for 18 years. I no longer hesitate to move my saw. You need this base. It is money very well spent.

I love this mobile base! I have had a Delta 10-inch contractor's saw for over 20 years. I bought it and Delta's mobile base for it. I've squashed my toes, and strained my back innumerable times over the years moving the saw. I just purchased a new Delta 14-inch bandsaw and realized I needed a mobile base for it. I ordered Rockler's base, had it together within fifteen minutes, and installed under my bandsaw in another fifteen minutes. I move this 240 pound saw anywhere in my garage shop and out on the driveway, with ease! I like this base so much, I called and ordered one for my old Delta 10-inch contractor's saw.
They are rather expensive bases, but what is safety, ease when using, and comfort worth? I'll always order this base for any heavy tools I purchase in the future!

I purchased a band saw and three of us never lifted it because it was too heavy, we scooted it around and laid it down on its back in a trailer to load it and stood it back up in my garage.
I had to modify the Mobile Base by bending two of the extension brackets and drilling a couple of holes because the base of the band saw has a kind of an "L" shape rather than a standard square base. So the Mobile Base design lends itself to being modified to different machine base designs.
To the main part, I can now roll the band saw around with just one hand, sweet.

I've got a Grizzly G0690 table saw on this 500 pounds and I can roll it around with one finger. All four wheels lock down securely and when locked, the saw is as stable as if it were sitting on the floor. There's a reason this mobile base is the most expensive one out there and it's worth every penny. Construction is robust. The steel is thick, welds are well-finished and the wheels are beefy with positive locking mechanisms. But it's not perfect out of the box. After about $8 in parts, the stand is perfect! read on. The only negative comment I have is on the included machine screws used to assemble the base! they are too short. When properly assembled with the lockwasher and flat washer, the included 5mm pretty sure they are 5mm 3/4" long screws aren't long enough for the nuts to fully thread on. Only about half the nut makes it onto the threads. When you're putting 300+ pounds onto this mobile base, this is a major concern. The reason the manufacturer used this screw length was so that if you assemble the base to "look pretty" with the heads of the screws facing out, the screws/nuts don't protrude too far inside the base, taking room away from whatever machine you're going to put in there. Being that the base adjusts from 18" to 28" square there's plenty of extra room for 99% of the folks out there. A quick trip to my local big-box home improvement store and I bought 1/4" diameter, 1" long Grade 8 machine screws, lock/flat washers and nuts. Total cost about $8. The 1/4" diameter even fits a little better than the included screws and the additional 1/4" length allows the nuts to fully thread on. I don't know what grade the included hardware is they aren't stamped with any markings but with the shear force of 500+ pounds, I only trust Grade 8 hardware. Haven't read about any hardware failures with the stock screws, but I don't take chances. Especially not when $8 worth of insurance is so cheap and easy. Can't recommend this base enough. It is all that and a bag of chips.

This is just what I needed to move one very heavy table saw around and EVEN outside my shop!! I built a movable base that would fit my Craftsman semi-cabinet saw, but the saw was just too heavy. I have a small shop and sometimes have to move the saw out on my carport to rip longer pieces. This would be a two man job! Dragging the saw out even using a ramp to the carport level (4 inches lower than my shop floor)was such a big job, it really discouraged me from enjoying my saw. This new Rockler base solves the problem. I now easily move my saw with two fingers and out on the carport by myself with hardly any effort! The quality is top notch! No instructions are included in the box. Why? Because everything comes almost completely assembled. My saw was on this base in 20 minutes after opening the box. It would have been 15 minutes, but I was short a lock washer and had to go find one to fit. But that is my only gripe and I am not sure that I didn't lose the washer myself! It took me a long time to make up my mind because this is a pretty expensive mobile base. But my wife, who watches my tool spending like a hawk, after seeing the ease that I moved my saw around, said "Why didn't you buy that base a year ago? It sure would have made your life much easier!" And I said, "Because this is a brand new product". Enough said.

"Have been a return customer for a number of years, and a recent experience has really cemented that bond for me. After using my Rockler lighted magnifying lens for a few months, one of the wires from the battery pack came loose. When I contacted Customer Service to inquire about sending the unit back, they instead sent me a brand new one - no questions asked, no return expected, no charge whatsoever. This simple step - coupled with top quality, innovative products - ensured my repeat business more than any other advertising technique or gimmick could ever do. Keep up the good work, Rockler!"
