Ordered 2 of the 18" bars to make a 2nd crosscut sled. Just can't figure how other folks thought there was more coming with these things than did. I must say though, that I am almost as pleased with the tube containers they came in as I am with the bars themselves. Two of those tubes is almost like getting a $10-$15 dollar bonus. WooHoo!!! Plus a screwdriver with each also. It's amazing how the small things can enhance a purchase. Way to go Rockler!!!!

These are perfect for making a miter jig for my table saw to make picture frames. I like the adjustability of the miter bars to remove all slop.

I purchased the Miter bar for use on jigs I make for my Table Saw. This is a much better bar than making them from hard wood slat's. They are much tighter in the miter slot and work well. Will definetly purchase more of them as the need arises.

I ordered two of the 24" bars to make a crosscut sled for my Bosch job site table saw. When the box arrived there was only one bar even though all the paperwork said that they had shipped 2. After a couple of e-mails (very quick response from Rockler) I had my missing bar in 2 days. The bars are excellent; the adjustment screws keep them tight in the miter slots for accurate cuts. I wish the miter gauge that came with my saw had this feature. Good product and even better customer service.

I bought the 24" bar to make a crosscut sled. It worked great. I do wish however that the bar was set up to use wood screws thru the bar instead of 1/4 20 screws from the top as it was difficult to get the screw holes lined up properly to line up with the the tapped holes in the bar.

They look solid and will probably do what they are supposed to do. However I was very disappointed, as Ryan and Rob said, to find out that no hardware was included. Also, the bars require countersunk machine screws for the circle jig I want to make for my bandsaw.

The bars are great for making all sorts of shop jigs. I bought mine after having issues making hardwood runners for my crosscut sled. Only gripe I have is that there was no mounting hardware included. I ended up hitting the local hardware store for 1/4-20 machine screws and counter sinking them through the top of the crosscut sled.

This may not be a problem for you if the travel distance of your miter gauge is short, but if you need to push or pull your miter gauge so that the set screws of the bar start leaving the confines of the slot, you will lose the tightness you thought this design would give you. This is not the only maker that uses this design to make a miter bar that will fit all slots. The effect is that regardless of how long your bar is, you really only have the length between the first and last set screws. Once one of the set screws leaves the slot, the bar starts to get sloppy. Just think about it, and you will understand what I am trying to describe. I agree that wooden bars are not good because they swell and shrink with changes in climate. If you like the idea of using an aluminum bar that is designed to be undersized I suggest that you ignore the set screws, and use aluminum tape as a shim all along its length. That way the bar is the same thickness over its entire length. In my experience, I have found that using the high density plastic that is sold for making jigs is the best of all solutions. This stuff can be sanded to a perfect fit. It doesn't wear with age and it won't change with humidity. I think Rockler sells this plastic too.

I bought two of the 18" bars to make a crosscut sled for my table saw. They look like they will work fine, but would it really kill them to include screws? I have to make another trip to the store, and hope they have that particular size of screw in stock, before I can make my project.
