I am in the first stages of refinishing a very large kitchen. I first bought heat sensitive product from one of the big boxes. Huge mistake ,adhesion was terrible ,returned all product for refund.
Ordered from Rockler and was very pleased with the quality and ease of installing the product. I will buy much more of this product in the future.

I used the mahogany veneer on a set of old speakers. The peel-and-stick veneer made it very easy to use. I also stained the wood with red mahogany stain before applying the poly-urethane, and the stain coating was very even. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product.

This is an excellent way to fix many wood-working problems. After searching the internet for a solution to my cabinet refinishing dilemma, I chose this product based on the reviews. I stripped and restained some bathroom cabinets, but the end side was made of a particle board which can't be stripped and restained to match the other solid oak. I chose a red oak PSA veneer and it was very easy to apply to the pressure board surface. Although I had to reposition it, I had no problem with the PSA still adhering well. Great invention!

Previous to using the pressure sensitive veneer, I used to use spray adhesive to the back of my walnut veneer which was very messy and I had to apply even pressure until the glue set. This self adhesive veneer made these scroll portrait projects enjoyable to assemble. Since I made this Elvis portrait for a 50th birthday gift to a friend, I have decided to make portraits of all our children, nieces and nephews and their spouses for Christmas gifts this year, twenty in all, and the pressure sensitive veneer is not only a great quality wood but very convenient to use and my Christmas shopping will be ahead of schedule for once.

This PSA teak veneer installed in minutes; no messy adhesives or vacumn press needed. Followed the easy prep instuctions. The "match-book" design is just the look the client wanted. The areas in the maple ply where milled to create a slight recess for the veneer. There are 4 panels like the one in the picture for this project and were able cut all of them out of a single 2' x 2' piece. The adhesive by 3M is similiar to contact cement.

I used this product to veneer pvc columns on pulpits. This product is excellent. Much easier to work with than the iron on veneer especially on the curved surfaces. Glue adheres very well.

Used this to resurface an old end table with fluted edges. It went on very easily and by using a razor blade was able to trim so that it came out looking very nice. Overall this is a great product.

I got 24" x 96" red oak veneer for a 24" wide panel. Guess what? The veneer is only 23 3/4" wide and on top of that varies by about 1/8" from that over its length. Applied it using a clean 6" flexible putty knife, which worked very nicely, then rolled it. Easy application, looks good, not at all happy about the actual versus stated width.

I used three 8 ft. rolls to reface the frames of my entire kitchen. All three were first quality and adhesion has been very good. The wood took the stain as well as the new solid wood doors and drawer fronts I built. And they seem to be darkening at about the same rate so match very well. Overall I'm extremely please with how everything turned out!

As a first time user of veneer, I'm not sure if what I am about to say is normal, but here goes. It was really easy to do and came out great. The only problem seemed to be a quality control issue. The backing, a 3M product, was offset from the veneer by about 1/8 inch. So I had an edge with no adhesive. I sure hope the varnish words behind that bare edge and "glues" it down for me. But overall, all was fine.

My first experience at dealing with veneer. The pressure sensitive veneer worked great and eased the worry about using it quickly. Project turned out great and the finish went on without any problems. The only problem that I had was the the end had got crushed somehow during packaging. (Box was not crushed)Since the piece was much larger than I needed all I had to do is trim the damaged end off.

I used the self-adhering veneer and found it to be extremely easy to work with, easy to cut with a Stanley knife, excellent adhesion and took the finish just fine. I would highly recommend this product to anyone refacing their cabinets.

In a kitchen remodeling job (2nd time in 32 years), I had to reverse positions of an oven and pantry cabinet thus exposing the unfinished 7' x 2' sides. The white oak quarter sawn veneer was exceptionally easy to apply. After sealing with two coats of shellac, was able to match perfectly the walnut finish on the cabinets.

Refacing my kitchen cabinets - this is an excellent product! The last 24" x 96" sheet I received, though, had been rolled too tightly (for shipping), and the paper backing split in a few places, making application more difficult than usual.

This is the second cabinet refacing job I've done with this veneer and the results have been excellent both times. I have another larger refacing project coming up and intend to use this same veneer from Rockler again. When it's applied, it's there. No bubbles or spots that release over time. The veneer stained out to match perfectly where I had to use both solid wood and this veneer side by side.

Very nice product and easy to apply. Used it to cover some junk plywood on a trundle bed which reqd 2 sheets side by side. The only dissapointment was the obvious difference in grain in the 2 pieces. Perhaps that is typical in some of the cheaper plywood available today. I would suggest purchasing one sheet (4 x 8 in my case) to get a similar grain. It stained great. Very satisfied with the result.

I refaced an 8' custom vanity with pressure sensitive walnut veneer, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The finish is beautiful, it's easy to work with, and it couldn't be easier to apply. I'm sold!

I emailed Rockler to ask their advice for my project and I promptly received an response recommending this pressure sensitive veneer. It is an excellent product that I had no problems with. I used the veneer to cover legs to a dining room table. The veneer was able to bend around the columns with no problem. It is a beautiful maple, which took a stain very well. Definitely would order it again.

Used this product on a cabinet refinishing project where I made some new cherry cabinets and refaced a few existing. Worked well on the face frames but on sidepanels that are exposed, it was more difficult to get a good smooth surface that matched 3/4 plywood boxes I built. If I had it to do over again, I would build all the cabinets because the finish on the veneer just doesn't quite match the quality of the finish on the solid hardwood.

I brushed a coat of 3M water base contact adhesive on cabinets before adding veneer. The veneer went on well and finished just like any other red oak. Great product.

So easy to us, cut it with a pair of home kitchen shears. used the Mahogany to redo 6 drawer fronts and a top of a trashed 1920's chest on chest and could not ask for any better result. You can't tell it is not the original surface. Sands and stains like a charm. Just recieved my 2nd 24x96 sheet for a early 1900's federal style double dresser. Oh BTW, 2 1/2 yrs after on the CoC and still stuck strong. Love this stuff.

I used the veneer to cover our refrigerator to match Hicory cabinets. It is easy to work with and wraps nicely around the edges of the fridge. This is the second fridge covered - hope that this fridge lasts longer. I also covered the dishwasher.
Only suggestion is if you have to bend against the grain dampen the veneer before bending. With the grain is no problem; made an almost 90 degree turn just fine.

I used the self adhesive veneer on the winged shelfs and as edge banding on a bow front cabinet I built and had excellent results. I also used flexible dentil and the lion head handles purchased from Rockler. Quite satisfied with every purchase from Rockler and their timeliness in shipping is great.

Covered this upper kitchen cabniet with Pressure Sensitive Veneer about 10 yrs ago, Today it is just as solid and sound as the day it was applied. Peel and stick is the way to go, thanks Rockler.

VERY easy to size, apply, and trim. It sticks well, but is not impossible to remove if you accidently let it touch. I used the PS red oak, and it stained with a bit of "flesh" or "pink" tone. Be sure to stain practice pieces so you can tint to match your natural wood doors.

I bought an 8' roll of the self-stick. Sides were damaged, but I was able to work around this. Good thickness. For the entire 8' length, the last 1" was missing backing paper and had no adhesive. Of course, this was the side that was not damaged. Given the price tag, you would think there would be a better quality control.

Ordered 6 sheets of Cherry. Package beat up by UPS. Ends of the long sheets sometimes seperates from the adhesive backing, but will still stick with lots of pressure. One had small cracks at the ends. Easy to work and finishes nicely.

I used the self adhesive veneer on an old winged table that I was refinishing that had the original veneer chipping away. After removing the old veneer and glue from the existing top and wings I applied the new veneer with outstanding results. Veneer stained well and resulted in a great end product, I am quite satisfied with every purchase from Rockler and their timeliness in shipping is great.

I ordered 3 sheets of the 24' x 96' walnut pressure sensitive veneer for recovering the front and sides of a large office desk. It is very easy to cut and apply. However, the sheets I received were rolled tightly in the cardboard containers and at both ends the adhesive was separating from the veneer which cause work arounds to get good bonding. The sheet ends also cause some abrasion of the veneer surface in the rolls. (shipping problem?) The pattern of the veneer contained dark bloches that distracted from the pleasing grain of the walnut. (Manufacturer problem?)
Lesson learned - Just like buying lumber, best to view and pick your own!

This was a first for me, I read about every book that I could get, still wasn't really enthused about a veneer vs replacing. So I finally read enough and decided to buy. I got the Oak and put a water based contact on the cabinet per a recommendation of a pro. When the veneer arrived, I almost cried, it looked like and felt like a vinyl, until the backing was removed and then , real wood. Even gives splinters. The veneer was very simple to work with, after all my fears, it was very easy. The pressure sensitive backing was great but I could remove the veneer when installed. After using the water based contact cement, I had to work real hard to get the one mistake off. I learned from that venture!!! I read a lot about 'black lines' with veneer. I don't have any! I used wood putty to cover any errors in cut, then 100% waxless shellac as a sealer though. The ease at which the single ply veneer wrapped around the edge so I would not have to cut and join was great. I sanded all edges and after the shellac coat, finished with a clear coat of semi-gloss poly and these look very good, just like the new doors that I bought. The shellac added a bit of 'yellow' so I did not have to stain for a light oak look. This was great and much easier than anticipated.

The adhesive has "bubbles" in it, meaning it is not stuck to the veneer in many areas. This translates to real bubbles in the veneer when applied to the work. Money wasted.

The veneer arrived on schedule and looked good when opened. However, I see an issue using veneer that is rolled when packaged and shipped. It was difficult to get it to flatten out, and when you applied it the thin veneer had a lot of small cracks that mad it difficult for it to lay smooth. Sanding it down is not a good option as it is too thin to work with. I was also not as impressed with self adhesive. I would likely not purchase this veneer again.
Editor's note: Veneer is only rolled at time of shipment. Before using veneer we recommend removing from the shipping carton and letting the veneer relax to it's flat shape overnight.

I know I am being redundit but the more I use this peel & stick veneer the more I like it. Just finished using the 2'x8' red oak and it worked great. I will be quiet from now on, but it is a great product.
