I concur with all others that have critiqued this offering. The self-stick strips are inferior. I used 3M Yellow along the sides and every 10 CD spaces. I used the on-line pattern but added an 1/8" width to every vertical column to allow for variance of the wood material. I also added 5 1/2" at the bottom of the shelf unit to accmodate compilation CD's.

The plastic strips are easy to work with and cut. I had to call customer service to figure out the glue strips and they were helpful. The glue strips themselves did not hold for me and I had to find other adhesives to work.

As for the product the tape was useless and used glue to hold the strip in place. The rest of the product is great and also a big hit for many people to have in their homes due to it blends in well with their interior designs. Rockler service was better online than the actual store.

The tape included was difficult to use. I needed to get wider carpet tape. But still got some curling of plastic. Next holder will be with cut dados, (uses less waisted space, than inserts).

The strips are convenient, albeit somewhat expensive for a cheap piece of plastic but other alternatives were not easily found. I guess one could router the grooves given the time and energy. The tape does [\\\\]- I used 3M tape which increased the cost of this product significantly. I redesigned the rack to three shelves about 36" wide and it sits on a desktop.

I would rate this as an excellent product but the tape that comes with it is awful. A better quality 2 sided tape did not work either. I finally used Liquid Nails small project adhesive and that seems to be ok. The price was way too high for a roll of plastic, but there are really no other alternatives out their. In the end, building the CD rack (thanks Rockler for the free plans) was a fun project with my 10 year old son, and he is thrilled with the results.

I just finished a 4 ft. version of this CD holder. It was very easy to cut the holders to the length I needed. The supplied tape was very effective, but was a little difficult to work with. Thanks for such a great product.

The tape supplied with this product was very difficult to work with. But the DVD holder itself was easy to work with.

Service was excellent. The strip itself was very easy to work with but, I found the tape usless. I ended up using glue to hold strip in place. As far as the product itself I would rate as a 'A+'

The holder strips were fine. The 2 sided tape that came with the product was worthless. I had to buy some real two sided tape at the local home center.

The concept is good, but the attachment method needs some serious inprovement. The adhesive strips leaves a lot to be desired. I had to add staples to secure the product, especially at the tops as they simply succumbed to gravity.

My wife is a professional musician and has a collection of records, tapes, and cds consisting of several hundred of each media and space is a critical issue. I found that the spacing of the cds using this product (18/ft) actually would have decreased the number of cds stored in the allotted space which was calculated using existing storage rack spacing of 24/ft.

Okay, great idea, poor adhesive strips. The physics of this thing are better suited for shorter heights than instead of the six feet tall idea.

This product did exactly what I wanted it to do, after I purchased double-sided tape at the hardware store. The adhesive strips it comes with are worthless. I would have rated this product much higher if I didn't have to purchase the additional adhesive.

Too expensive for what it is. Had difficulty getting curl out of it from being rolled up. The "tape" was worthless. I had to use two sided tape and ended up stapling the ends.

The tape is a waste of time! You would think after the number years the product has been on the market it would have been corrected.

I am a contractor and woodworker who used this product in building a 'secret door" CD rack for a customer. The product fit my application well but was naything but easy to work with. The plastic stips worked well but needed to be rolled in the opposite direction for 24hr in order to stop curling and the adhesive strips that come with the material are terrible, very difficult to work with and did not hold well. I tryed many option including contact cement. I finished the project but not without many unkind words.

Just finished working with this product. I concur that the adhesive transfer tape is poor. It works but I can see that it will not be holding for long. Tips for ATT is to be sure to run something along the tape before the second carrier is removed to firmly seat the adhesive on the project. We are held hostage to the strips - they are the only ones I have found on the market. They are cheap but effective. The ends are not cut squarely, so check the strip against your project before final cuts on either. It is easy to install unlevel strips that result in herringbone CD cases in the final project. The price seems excessive for a few cents worth of cheap plastic, but, this is the only option available without excessive router or table saw time.

The holder strips are a good idea . The self-stick strips are worse than useless. I am right now trying to reattach them as they stayed on just long enough to get the unit put together. Next I will glue and staple the strips before putting the unit together making sure to measure carefully to keep the tabs even.
