Turn your portable drill into a drill press and get the accuracy you need at a job site! The guide attaches directly to a 3/8" drill chuck, and allows you to drill larger pieces you can't fit on your stationary press. Pre-drilled holes allow you to attach a base or mount it to a table.

The rig has holes in its base for mouting the system, as others have noted. I used that feature to design a base for the press that will allow for holding and drilling counter sunk screw holes in sections of hardwood flooring. The base holds the boards, and allows for the press to move side to side to allow for drilling two holes beside each other. I sacrificed very little portability and it's a great use for that "cast aside" cheapo cordless drill I was ignoring.
Its applications are limitless if one is willing to be inventive and develop a solution for their own needs. I say 5 stars for making my life easier.

A little wobbly and sticky, but it sure beats anything else at drilling perpendicular holes in the field. I don't use it for shop work.

Great for drilling exact holes in pieces too big to get up into the drill press.

Much better than guess work, well-built, gets the job done.

This is a good item if you do not have a drill press. It does not give drill press accuracy, but it is very portable and worthwhile if you have a small shop. There is quite a bit of wobble, but it is small, portable, and reasonably accurate.

"Drill press accuracy" is a bit of an overstatement, in fact there's more wobble in it than I'd like; but for handheld portability it's outstanding, and a helluva lot more accurate than my eyeballs! Well worth the price.

Very easy to set up, great tool because of it's portability. Accurate enough for the work I do. I've used it for cabinets and for building some furniture, and saved me some time. As I said it's the portability which I like most.

I own this kit[]. I do recommend this tool. It's easy to use. I dedicate it's own drill with mine.

I use the drill guide for drill holes in blanks for pens and pencils. I have a drill press but the distance it can travel is to short. This is an easy tool to set up and us. Happy that I found it.

Flimsy. Broke apart after using it twice. Definitely not worth 1/3 the price.

This product was a total waste of money for me. It didn't hold the drill straight, and it bounced all over the workbench. Yes, I could have bolted it down, but then what would be the point of getting a portable one?

This thing might be worth it if your life depended on you being able to drill a hole straighter than you could be eye. Yeah, I guess its portable so I'll have to add in being dragged away from the shop for this life or death drilling contest. Still for $ I expected it to be a bit better. It wobbles. In many conditions it is hard to hold or to clamp flat.

Difficult to maintain straight-line alignment while drilling. One of the flimsy plastic base stabilizers broke during second set-up. This device is a total waste of money.
