Drill straight and true holes every time with the Drill Guide Kit. The drill guide kit allows you to insert a steel bushing into the plastic guide and your drill will bore perfectly perpendicular holes. An ingenious design also centers your drill bit on edges. The drill guide kit also works to drill holes on spheres and cylinders.

If you don't have a drill press and you need to drill straight holes do yourself a favour and get this, you will not regret it.

This is one of the handiest gadgets I own. When I make shelves I use this and a pegboard as a template and have my shelf holes drilled in no time.

I do not have a drill press but wanted to drill holes through a 3/4" thick 4" wide board to hold axles for my toy circus train. The first attempts were not too successful but after I made a form to hold the board on it's side (like A vice) the holes were straight through the wood. Once I got the hang of it I drilled all 12 holes for the 6 car train quickly. Not necessarily precision accurate but great for my project and many others. THANKS

Worked great to drill holes through stainless rail on our sailboat. Wish we had seen it years ago. A must have in any sailor's tool bag.

This is a very handy tool, for the price you can't beat it, it is simple to use, and works well.

I used this to drill 94 straight holes for drawer and cabinet door pulls my wife and I installed. I used a template to locate the holes and once I knew where I wanted it this tool made the job very easy. Because I was drilling horizontally, I held the sizing socket in place in the clear holder with a single wrap of painters tape. Pushed the bit through to land on target, rested the tool on the cabinet and drilled straight. Worked great. Glad I found it. Thanks.

Got to drill weight hole for pine-wood derby car (cub scouts) works great! Drill press would be better, but hard to find a drill press for 12 bucks that would fit in a tool box. Would buy again!

This thing is pretty neat. It isn't perfect but works very well. I haven't used it on a round surface or corner but it looks like it will work there well too.

As a machinist and an aircraft mechanic I expected more. The perpendicularly is quite disapointing. If you want your holes within 5 degrees (85* to 95*) use something else.

I bought this kit to mark the center of the side of dowels. The fit of the bushing in the guide is horrible. This tool could have been great, but if you need any kind of precision, don't buy. I cannot even see it being accurate enough to be used as a doweling jig. Very disappointed.

Yes, it will help you drill a hole ... even at a five degree angle if you're not paying attention. Frankly, I can get just as close to perpendicular using a scrap of 2x4 as a level. Probably has more utility for drilling into an edge or the curved surface of a dowel. Meanwhile, wrapping some duct tape around the bushings seems about the only way you're going to keep a drill bit anywhere close to 90 degrees. Who would have thought.

Used this product to make shelf holes for a bookcase. I did not want to spend the money on a drill press and space was a consideration. That being said this tool gets the job done however its not 100% accurate, but it gets the job done. It would have been nice if it came with a case and some more steel bushings for different size bits but I suppose this would drive the cost up. Overall I like this product and have no regrets buying it.

The description says it drills perfectly perpendicular holes. That is far from true. The inserts fit very loosely in the jig. This makes drilling perpendicular holes virtually impossible. It is probably fine for drilling shallow holes, but anything more than an inch or two deep will certainly not be perpendicular. I bought the drill guide so I could drill through the side of boards several inches thick. Unfortunately, it is useless for that, at least in my opinion.

The product works OK but the inserts fits to sloppy in the unit.Would be better made of metal and the inserts fit with less clearance.

This is a poor product. The bushings fit loosely resulting in a miss located and non perpendicular hole. I have reworked mine so that the complaints discussed have have been corrected. A drill press, an 8 or 10 inch mill file, an small knife and a small amount of epoxy are the only items you need have. You could probably use a 3/8" hand drill in place of the drill press.

Great little accessory. Like the description says, it's ingenious....and it really lives up to its claims. I don't have a need (or the room) for a drill press, and this gadget solves the problem I have with holding the drill really straight.
