Used to assemble a reloading bench. Worked great. The diameter was just right for assembly without modification.

The 1/2" spiral dowel pins are almost impossible to use. Out of an entire bag not a single one has fit without modification. Exchanged the bag and all 50 still don't fit.Using a Dowel-it clamp and 1/2" brad-point bit the dowels stick, bind and cause problems. Sanding each carefully with 150 grit sandpaper fixes the problem.
10 out of the 100 failed to work without sanding.

I purchased two bags 100 of 3/8" variety. Approximately 40% of the pins fit holes drilled with a new brad-point bit. Both bags had been stored in a cool, dry, low-humidity environment for several days before use, so I must conclude the quality control on the diameter is poor. Next time, I'll consider other options.

Bought a couple bags of the 3/8" and they were oversized. I tried a couple different bits thinking it may have been that, but no luck.

Poor quality control, I had problems with the 3/8" pins, a huge percentage of these pins are over sized by 1/32 - 1/16". The sad part is if a dowel is going to be over or under, better it be under by a bit because it can still glue up.
