Used these on one framed mirror and they worked as advertised. Just ordered an additional set for my next hanging mirror project. The set up for wall hanging went fairly quickly. Used heavy stock paper for set up on mirror and transfered the measurements to the wall.

This is an ingenious product that works like a charm to hang heavy objects very close to the wall. Very careful alignment is needed for two pairs or more to work properly, so take your time and mark carefully, and you will be rewarded with a sturdy hanging of great quality.
I have a heavy curio cabinet hanging flawlessly for over 20 years on a wall that experiences vibration from a slamming door all the time. The best flush mounts ever!

After reading viewers comments, I decided to order these mounts. Since wall studs in older construction is not reliable, I decided on mounting the brackets first on the wall. Used my four foot level to mark bracket locations as well as to level. Transfered the marks to headboard. Then I used blue tape on the wall and headboard to indicate the outside measurement of the wall mounts. Worked like a charm. Took less than a minute to line up the two brackets.

I used two of these to hang a coat rack and they worked great. Finding screws wasn't difficult at all (despite other reviewer's comments). Just went down to the local hardware store and tried a few until I got just the right ones.

Worked well hanging a headboard. A little tricky to mount. After first leveling, tracing and measuring the headboard I screwed in the bottom bracket to the wall and used double sided tape on the top bracket to attach to the headboard. Slid on easily afterwards. Use #6 tapered head screws for the larger mounts and #4 screws for the smaller flush mounts. Would have appreciated there be screws and instructions in the package.

We used your product to hang a (very heavy) bed headboard. Two z-clips is all we used and they are holding OK. We could not use more because they have little tolerance and using 4 would have been very difficult. However, we were lucky we hung the headboard in the first try! Part of the problem was that the headboard weights 60lbs.
I was impressed by Rockler, I saw the z-clip in a magazine 10 years ago and wanted to use it for this application, but I could not find it until the Internet and your website made it possible. Good job!

I wanted to hang a very heavy tri-fold mirror to a wall and took a chance on these thin flush mounts. For an easy and accurate installation, I installed the mounts on the back of the mirror first, then traced those mounts onto a piece of posterboard and used the posterboard to position the wall mounts. They hold an impressive amount of weight with confidence, but there are no fasteners (or information on the proper size fastener to use) included with the set. So, not a complete solution and the buyer still has some leg-work to do.

I just used these to install my bed headboard to the wall. They worked perfectly and stayed in place. It's a little tricky to install. The best way I found to install these were to attach the brackets to the headboard first. I then took a flat head screwdriver and pried the latch out to make it easier to slip into the other bracket. I then held it in place and marked the wall. Once I installed the brackets on the wall, I slipped the headboard into place and pulled the headboard down and it snapped into place. It's amazing how much weight these little brackets can hold.

I used this product as auxiliary hangers to wall mount a Greater Kudu, a Bushbuck, and an Impala. No, the animal, *not* the car ;-). They work very well, and make the mounts extra secure. I live in Earthquake Country, so I'm a bit paranoid about such things.

I've used this product to hang a large King Sized headboard onto the wall, we only needed 3 flush mounts and they are brilliant...they're a little bit tricky to get the allignment correct but it was all worth it in the end. I now have a very secure beautiful floating headboard above my bed. I would definitely recommend this site and product to anyone that wants to hang anything!

I have used these mounts for hanging heavy objects that you don't want landing on your head. Easy to mount if done right. I recommend mounting to object first and mounting wall parts on a straight edge with 2-sided tape while they are fitted in object part. Level straight edge and mark for holes for perfect fit.

The product functioned as expected. Although the small mounts were "drilled for # 4 flat-head screws," the screw heads didn't fit flush with the surface of the pieces. This caused interference when interlocking the pieces. Filing the screw heads down about 1/32" fixed the problem. When the screw heads were flush, the pieces the hangers interlocked smoothly.

I would have liked instructions on how to use these mounts. I also used them for a headboard to a wall and had a tough job with the double sided tape. I also think that screws should have been included. All in all, a good product.

I have some concerns about hanging a 60+ pound mirror using #4 screws. I do agree that the clips will allow a #4 screw to pass any shear test when screwed to the back of a mirror or cabinet. I will not trust a #4 screw ~1"+ from pulling out of the wall. (1/2" drywall plus 1/2"+ into a stud.
I suggest that a person that is going to buy these determine if four #4 screws will hold your project with a safety factor of at least two. I will only use the clips when I have the screws go directly into solid wood and not through drywall into a stud.

The mounts work beautifully. It was a bit intimidating at first, because no suggestions and no screws come with the mounts, but in the end it was quite simple. I bought #4 (for the 1/4" headboard plywood) and #6 (for the wall)flat head screws. In order to match the two components, we mounted the "up" pieces on the wall, then placed the "down" pieces into the slot and "locked" them. Then I attached self-stick Velco to the side sections of the mounts. We then placed the board against the wall, pushed it against the Velcro and lifted it up so the mounts separated. It worked like a charm. The mounts are very secure and quite tight against the wall. Great stuff!

I was very disappointed once I realized the only screws that allowed the 1” version of this product to slip past the heads are #4. I can find #4’s for the wood side, but can’t find anything that works to mount the other bracket to the wall securely. Not enough clearance for a standard wall anchor.

I had to discard this product and use a keyhole mount. I could not find #4 screws that would seat deeply enough to allow clearance for the mating cleat. Very disappointed.

#4 screws are for very light duty.  A possible #4 screw source is McFeely's.

This is the most frustrating piece of hardware I have ever come across. There are no instructions as to what kind of screws to use and if you don't use exactly the right ones, the flush mounts will not slide past each other. I still haven't found the right ones but I assume they are out there somewhere. This product should definitely come with screws, it would save users a ton of frustration.

"Have been a return customer for a number of years, and a recent experience has really cemented that bond for me. After using my Rockler lighted magnifying lens for a few months, one of the wires from the battery pack came loose. When I contacted Customer Service to inquire about sending the unit back, they instead sent me a brand new one - no questions asked, no return expected, no charge whatsoever. This simple step - coupled with top quality, innovative products - ensured my repeat business more than any other advertising technique or gimmick could ever do. Keep up the good work, Rockler!"
