Just built a queen size bed out of hard maple using these brackets. Not only did the 1" side rails sit squarely with my 4" posts but there was no sway whatsoever. Solid performance for a product that creates a quick disassembly of the bed.

Brackets works greats. Just attach the thing and you're ready to go. My bed frame cost less than 90 bucks compare to a designer bed that cost 700 to 1000 dollars. Quality comparison? Mine is better.

I recently installed a set of these brackets on a full size platform bed I built for my son. This product did the job as intended and I am happy with the results. It could be my lack of experince with it, but the product needs some "convincing" to assemble together once installed individually on the head/ft boards and the side rails. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product.

The taper on the screw holes in the plates is not correct which causes the screw head to protrude. I would like to know what type of screws others use to make these brackets work. I would have had to use much smaller than the recommended screw size to make these work. I should have listened to the warnings from the other reviews.

Great product and fast delivery! I recently bought a used wood bed with no hardware, and was looking online for hardware options. Found these, made the measurements and determined that they should work well. The fittings are nice and tight, and the bed does not shake, even when my two year old jumps on it (which we don't want him to do really!). The only issue is that some of the fittings were REALLY tight at first (namely the "A's"), and we had to work them several times to get them to fit right. The other thing is that you really have to pay attention to which bracket goes to which side, and making sure that they don't end up upside down. Stupid mistakes that are fortunately easily fixed! So far, so good with how this project turned out!

Built a solid wood queen size bed and fell in love with these brackets when I got them. Seemed like a great way to be able to take apart the bed easily when needed. Trouble was the very first time I needed to disassemble the bed 3 of the "male nubs" that hook into the female part broke off! 2 were off one bracket alone and only had the weight of a mattress and one person. Going to try them again hoping it was a bad batch but also ordering another type just in case. Hope they work!!

This product seems to do the job it was designed for very well. Nice tight fit... and they are good and strong. The one drawback I found is the range of taper in the fit. You have to be pretty careful about locating them or they will either not interlock, or drop to the bottom leaving a sloppy fit. Measure twice, mount once!

I have used this product with excellent results. I ordered 2 pairs to make bunkbeds and ended up ordering a 3rd set to attach the upper bunk safety rail. Use the recommended screws. Frame is sturdy, yet can be knocked down and re-assembled with a rubber mallet for moving if necessary.

These brackets were used to make a twin bed for my 5 year old daughter. The joy of owning her first "big girl" bed has lead to her using it as a trampoline on occasion. They definitely are holdng up to the abuse that young kids can sometimes dish out on furniture. I would not hesitate to buy them again.

I bought a set of these along with the recommended screw size. Fortunately I have a drill press because I had to ream out the holes so the screw heads would countersink. Not a big deal but you shouldn't have to do that. After doing that, they worked just fine and I am satisfied.

I built a queen bed for my daughter for her wedding.
They fit together nice and snug. It seems like it should handle the weight nicely but time will tell. Installation was very simple and assembly and disassembly of the bed should be quick without tools.

I almost did not buy these because of the negative slant of some of the other feedback, I am not a master carpenter, by no stretch of the imagination, but found these to be exceptionally easy to install and use. I think they will last my granddaughter until she out grows the bed.

My project required the use of two sets of the connectors. The two packs that I received were not interchangeable and initially would not work. After I was able to identify the two batches and separate them into unique locations, everything went fine. Just make sure that you check how the studs are locked into the bracket and make sure they are all the same.

My wife found an unfinished sleigh bed headboard and footboard, but no side rails. So, I had to make my own side rails to finish the bed. I used these brackets and they're working great. It's been 4+ months now, no trauma yet.

Mounted OK although the horizontal offset did not allow centering 1 1/2" thick rails on 3" posts -- workaround was to mount the post bracket backwards. I was disappointed when a bracket lost one of its pins on assembly of a tight joint. The pins are attached like rivets, not welded. Although the pin failed under a fair amount of force, it was a pain to work around (used a large-headed screw) and I won't be buying them again. If you do use them, be careful.

I installed these as an alternative to the end-hooks also sold by Rockler. I found the fit to be tight and not tolerant to any measurment (and subsequent installation) error. However, they do work nicely and I like the locking screw feature, although not required. Be careful not to pinch fingers when interfacing the two components. That really hurts!

Works like a charm and easy to install. Negative is that the pins are a potentially significant weak point. I have had them snap during a tight installation and once while moving a bed (4 beds over 4 years - with 3 brackets total failed). They generally all fail together on a bracket and there is no 'fail-safe' catch. It is very, very important that you use the bracket lock.

I like that these brackets are easy to mount without having to inset them into the posts. However, five out of the eight brackets I ordered did not align up correctly. The brackets which attach to the rail protruded out past the post bracket making it impossible to lock into place. I had to grind down each bracket so that it did not protrude. This is a simple fix if you have a grinder, otherwise, it would have been a disaster.

I ordered this hardware online and it was shiped promptly. When I attempted to install theparts I discovered that I had 3 parts stamped with a B and only one stamped with an A, meaning one end of one bedrail could't be finished. I sent an e-mail that was promptly answered promising the needed part would be shipped.
I have now been waiting for 10 days and alas, no part, and no using my new red oak Mission style bed! I think I could have ordered another set and had the part more quickly.
Edotr's note: We apologize for the delay in getting a replacement sent Byron. Replacement was sent from a new shipment and sent as soon as possible.

I used this product to make bed rails for a set of antique headboards and footboards that were missing the rails. The original mountings were no longer manufacturered. The parts are working fine although I would have been more comfortable if the screw hole locations were located further from the edge of the board. They are only about 3/8 of an inch from the edge. I would also advise you to think clearly about the mountings as it is easy to get them mixed up and thus backward.

I installed the brackets on the bed I made and tested the fit in the shop before moving to my son's bedroom. The bed was secure and very sturdy. Decontructed the bed and during the assembly in the bedroom two pins on one bracket came off. Appears they were just pressed in to the mounting holes and not welder. Am now looking for a better bracket, again.

They did the trick. I was using old heart pine to build my king bed, and I couldn't use the internal hooks but these worked really well. The only small problem was the peices that attached to the head and foot boards had to be spaced out to fit right, but a few washers and problem solved.

I encountered some of the same issues as some of the other people have. Had to grind the edges of all of the brackets. Not overly impressed but also did not expect the best. Not a very tight fit and somewhat concerned about the press fit of the posts for the key hole. If your building a high end bed or for a client don't bother. Stick to the mortise style. Much tighter fit and can be adjusted by the depth of your mortise.

The brackets needed to be modified to make them work. The screw holes where not countersunk enough to allow the use of the recommended screw size and permit the male & female pieces to engage. I also had to file the slots on the female brackets to enable the brackets to fully seat. This was due to the fact that two of the brackets the "B"s protruded further beyond the female brackets when engaged. The only way to use them without filing the slots would have been to mount them to the side rails not flush with the ends of the rails, which would have not provided a tight fit allowing the bed to wiggle.

One of the 4 bracket assemblies had tight clearances and could not be assembled. This is sloppy manufacturing tolerance control. Happily, I only needed two brackets. The relief chamfer for the assembly screws is not sufficient for most Chinese #8 wood screws available now in hardware departments...while still leaving clearance for the bracket to assemble. This is a serious manufacturing or design defect requiring a search for alternative screws or carefully re-drilling the chamfer on the holes.

Great product. Very easy to install. Wished they came with the screws but it was easy to Find at the local hardware store. Customer service was great as well. The first time they shipped I ended up receiving just an empty bag with a whole in it. Called them up and explained during transit somehow the bag ripped and they fell out. They over nighted new ones no questions asked.

I built my son an elevated bed with bookshelves all around the bed, the frame sits on the bookshelves on wood slats and a piece of quarter inch plywood under the mattress. We have moved the bed several times from one place to another in the room and to different rooms too. The Brackets fit snug, which is good to prevent wobbling and were easy to install. However one of the brackets pins both have popped out of their holes rendering it useless, broken. Its like they were pressed in and worked their way out over time. Fortunately for my design this did not cause the bed to collapse.
