I first saw the convertible picnic table at a flea market, and decided to try to find the plans. Was suprised to find them on your site. The plans are easy to follow, for even the beginner. I wanted a project that my wife and I could do for Christmas Presents for our children and parents. So far we have built 4, altering the plans on the last three for a larger table. Everything worked out great. Plans were precise. Completed all of the cutting and then put together and everything fit. Now we have to have Christmas in August, cause we don't have room for 4 picnic tables. Will use your plans again. We used treated lumber on all and then Thompson's to protect against rain, if we ever get some.

We made one bench of 5' and one at 7'. I am not a finish carpenter and both were within 1/4 inch of matching on the table portion. Good instruction. The second one is a show piece with high end 4-planed-sides cedar lumber.

A great set of plans and drawings. My lumber yard no boards shorter than 8 foot, and I did not want to have a bunch of 2ft scraps, so I altered the plans and made my benches 8ft long. Now all of my family members want a set. Maybe I will start production this summer and make some more, right now I am enjoying my bench-table combo, and being the only person I know with one. This is my second order from Rockler, and I am a satisfied customer.

I really loved this table and convertable benches. They didn't like me at the lumber yard selecting the best two sided preasure treated pine because I knew that the top was also going to be the back of a seat. Project went together real well and didn't cost a lot of money. I wish I had better access to cedar as it would have lasted a lot longer. After having it for about 5 years, I ended up selling it at a garage sale for about the price I paid for the wood. Would like to build another set in the near future, this time using cedar.

The plans are easy to understand and follow. I built 4 units so far and have two more to build for a project at my grandkids grade school. Won't hesitate to order other plans in the future.

Love the picnic table! Was built for a play so the two halves are easier for our stage hands to lift on and off stage AND we now also have two benches to use for other productions. Great idea and our carpenter put it together with no problems at all.

Plans are detailed, directions clear and easy to follow, drawings very helpful. Two mistakes in "instructions" caused a second trip for lumber - return and purchase. The 1" x 4"'s are not included in the sentence that tells you what to buy. Also, it states to buy 8 2" x 4"'s, which I believe is 4 too many. Once I had all the correct lumber, the benches came together quickly and neatly. Positvie experience, and I will buy more plans from Rockler.

I was able to complete the table, but, I do think there are some shortfalls in the details. I did ask for some clarification on parts #10 & #11, but the response was pretty much a "huh - it is wrong". There were a few spots that could have had some focus to ensure smoother assembly! such as when the hinges are attached to "upper" half.

I have a woodworks business, and I just received this plan... WOW! By far the best, most professional, plans I've ever ordered! The instructions are very simple, and put together very nicely - anyone can build this table. I'm very impressed! This table specifically is much stronger than any other plans for a folding table out there. The ordering, the service, and the quality are exactly what my business needed! A+ guys n gals. I'll be doing business exclusively with you from now on!
