Standard swivel's top plate is 6-3/8'' square.
Deluxe swivel returns seat to original position when chair is not in use. Top plate is 6-7/8'' square.

I bought the standard as a replacement for what I thought was a broken one on another chair. Was able to repair the chair without using the new one so I built a bar stool. I had never atempted anything like it before and the 3 degree tilt is the difference between comfortable and not. All in all a very good product

I bought two deluxe models for replacements on oak bar stools. They fit the original layout perfectly. They seem to be solid, well built. Swivel action is perfect...easy to turn and self-returns. Only issues are: 1. they only swivel 90 degrees left/right...would be nice to swivel as close to 180 as possible...2. the original swivels had a plastic bushing that disintegrated allow slop to play into the action. These new swivels have the same plastic bushing component that will eventually do the same thing.
All in all...good product and I am satisfied. HOWEVER...Rockler rocks!!! I ordered one morning and the product came on the morning after next...well packaged and with a catalog! Thanks guys!!

This was a replacement for pourly manufactured swivels and they lined up in place of the old ones. The swivels are well put together and stiff, preventing any sloppy movement so one want fill as if the chair may flip over. It's a great product.

I purchased (3) of these swivels to replace the hardware that came on my Oak Bar Stools. The original swivels were very stiff and were very hard to move even while sitting. These replacements work great. Bearing movement good, not too loose and not too tight. I would recommend.

Very pleased with the quality. Chair returns to front. Only swivels 90 degrees in each direction. Would be nice if it swiveled 180 in each direction.
