I use this magnetic light for my 14" bandsaw. I use a fluorescent light and it provides great light. The magnet stays put and I am able to precisely position it where I want it. Great value for a great light.

This is a very good shop light, with long, substantial electrical cord and very strong magnetic base. Very handy light - I use 40 watt appliance bulbs and find them best for close in work at various machines in the shop. Thanks, Rockler, you have become my source for shop tools.

Incredible value for the cost. These robust Magtite lights are quite outstanding and provide the user with a great deal of flexibility. The powerful magnetic base adheres firmly to any steel or cast Iron bench or floor tool to provide outstanding illumination for both accuracy and safety. Though you'll immediately want to buy several more upon receiving your first, it'll quickly dawn on you that the incredibly long cord on this light will allow you to move it from machine to machine instantly with no setup whatsoever. I have a bank of six machinery stations along one wall of my shop and this little champion of a light serves all of them, one at a time.
An optional clamp and trouble light cage/hood is included with each light providing the owner with a wide range of options for using this great work light.
An outstanding product from a first-rate dealer.

This worklight is of excellent quality. I have found no other worklight that is as good as this one for anywhere near the price. I use the magnetic base to attach it to my drill press. The base holds firmly and there is no danger of it falling off. The cord is very long which is nice. In my mind, this is THE worklight for the shop.

This is the second light I've ordered on sale. The magnet sticks tightly to a steel or cast iron frame, and the joints (as was noted previously) hold well. I've got one light with the aluminum spotlight hood on it, and another with the wire-frame utility light hood on it. The first is better for directed light, the second for more overall light. I use both in lathe work and am very happy with them.
A side benefit is that I now also have two free plastic coated spring clamps (since I'm not going to use them on the lamp)!

I purchased this light originally to use on my bandsaw. By attaching a few well placed metal outlet coverings around my garage/workshop I am able to have enough light to work anywhere I need too! The extra long cord is a huge bonus.

Very good magnet, Joints are nice & tight so it stays pointed where you want it, very long cord allows me to plug it in over in the corner of my shop out of the way but still move it anywhere I need it. Good value, well made.

I purchased the lights for photography. The long cords, magnetic base and clamping make these ideal for directing light to the subject being photographed. I use low wattage bulbs and move the lights often.

I ordered 2 because I have two garages, one for vehicles and other for woodworking projects. I used 1 on bandsaw or whatever tool I am working with, so as to see my work without cutting into finger or hand. The other is used in vehicle garage and home. I took magnet off 1 and put the clip on. That way no matter where I need one, I can choose between what I have to hook to. We needed light underneath kitchen sink, to clearly see valves without just feeling for them. The clip on was extra handy over magnet The cord is excellent length.

This light is exactly what I've been needing, magnet is very strong for use on my bandsaw or my drill press. The bonus is that I can change to a clip on to use working on the car.

Previous reviews convinced me to buy and am happy I did. Use the magnetic base to attach to my band saw. The extra long cord is a great feature.

Very helpful when using the bandsaw. I have it attached to my bandsaw, using the magnetic base attachment. Light is well made and one impressive feature is the extra long power cord. If you need extra light in your shop, I highly recommend this one. I've seen other lights that do the same thing, costing $20-$30 more. Do yourself a favor and save some money, this one will do the job.

I have found this extremely versatile lamp very useful in almost every situation I have had in my shop. From working on the lathe to the band saw to the sharpening station to the workbench it has been an irreplaceable shop accessory.

Excellent value. Works well on my bandsaw with the magnet, but I haven't had to use the included spring clamp. Long power cord is nice feature.
