I found this jig on Rockler's web site. I read most of the reviews, and it sounded like the jig I wanted. I also took into account the not so good reviews some of the people gave. Being made out of Cast iron and locking rail into the miter groove on the table saw was a plus. I got it yesterday and I checked it over for smoothness on the bottom side that runs on the table saw. It was fine. All I had to do was move the miter guide. I set it up for the cuts I needed. I had about 20 pieces of wood that needed a tenon on both ends, waiting for this jig to arrive. I started in and before I was ready to finish I was done with all my tenons. This was so easy to use and to do the same cut over and over, sliding the jig back a forth was a breeze. I can't say enough about this jig. Well worth the price to me. Built to out last me too. I may not push this jig to it's limits or use all of it's functions, but for what I needed it's the top of the line to me. Also some complaints were about the instructions. I went to youtube and watched a video that was pretty much the same jig there and got all the info I needed for mine. Anyway great addition to my improving workshop.

Bought this jig in April, 2012. Found it easy to set up and fairly straightforward to use. Completed two tables using this jig before the clamp arm completely broke in two. Wasn't using much pressure to tighten the clamp. Problem was probably because of some faulty weak spot in the cast iron. I can still use the jig without the clamp arm because I can use clamps to hold the piece sturdy on the jig. I have bought numerous items from Rockler and this is the first piece that fell apart.
Editor's note: Our customer service team at 800-376-7856 will be able to assist with replacement of the broken arm for you Fred.

I just purchased this jig after looking at a few others, and reading the many reviews. The setup was quick and easy. I had to add small washers to the guide bar, but it fits tight on my Ridgid table saw. The quality of the bottom milled surface is poor since the burrs and sharp corners were not removed. This is probably why some users get scratches on their table saws. I added self adhesive UHMW tape to this surface and it slides smoothly. Heavy duty jig. Works great.

I had some trouble getting the alignment correct. The pictures in the instructions appear to be backward and could be a bit better quality. Other than that, I recommend this product.

This Tenoning Jig is a real time-saver. It works well, and I look forward to many years of enjoying this handy addition to my woodworking shop. I rate the jig as excellent, but the instructions as poor. You need to already know enough about this tool to assemble it yourself, because the instructions are worse than useless. Check the diagram to make sure you have the parts, then throw the instruction manual to the side, and you will be fine. My guess is that there was a great deal lost in translation, or that the writer had no knowledge of the jig in particular, or woodworking in general. But, again, an excellent Tenoning Jig.

Purchased this jig to build some mission style end tables for my wife. I use a Craftsman saw and did not have any problems setting this up on my saw. Works very well, and made cutting the tenons easy. Very repetitive but easy, you do have to be careful to make sure the wood is square, but if doing smaller peices can do 2-3 at a time. Very pleased with this and will continue to use for years to come.

If you can not follow the setup instructions you probably should not be operating a table saw. I cut a tennon with in 15minutes out of the box. My saw is set up dead square to begin with and the jig was also dead on.
