Mounting plate is 1 - 3/16'' W x 4 - 1/2'' L.
Hook plate is 2 - 1/8" W (with hooks) x 4 - 3/4'' L.

This is the first time I used this type of bedrail fastener and I am very impressed with the quality. I am using the product to make a set of beds that also will double as bunkbeds.

Went a year without a footboard, because the rails to our bed set had become dammaged. I came across this website, found these rail brackets, and made my own rails. Absolutely wonderful. I will be back for my next projects.

Great product. The mounting plates sit flush to the bed post, so make sure you have a drill or router to drill out the wood behind the mounting plate so the locking brackets can 'lock.' I thought the mounting plates didn't require drilling.

I really like the hardware, but I wish there was a link on the same sale page for the screws or it was already included.
Editor's note:
#6 flathead and #6 round head screws will fit this hardware. Length will depend on sizing of materials you are mounting to.

This product works as intended. Only problem is it comes without screws, and 2 styles are needed, flathead for attachment and panhead for safety lock.

The "Locking Safety Bed Rail Brackets" product arrived exactly as described, very nice, and quite sturdy. I wish, however, that screws and a paper template (for routing and drilling) were included.

Loved this item and how they worked. The reviews really made it easy for me (about have to router out below the post bracket and getting my own screws).
