These locking brackets are so safe, convenient, and secure, they’re ideal for bunk beds and standard beds alike!

The interlocking safety latch prevents bed rails from becoming disengaged, while the 1/8'' thick steel construction adds strength.
Assembly is quick and easy, you simply slide the two brackets together and insert the safety tab. Set includes enough brackets (8 parts) to complete one bed. Meets all safety standards for bunk beds.
Mounting plate is 1 - 3/16'' W x 4 - 1/2'' L.
Hook plate is 2 - 1/8" W (with hooks) x 4 - 3/4'' L.
Rustproof black oxide finish. Screws not included.

I found these fastners to work very well and secure the side rails firmly to the posts. They are superior to the types I used in the past. I like the idea of the locking tab, especially for a child's bed where they might crawl under and accidently release a conventional rail.

This is the first time I used this type of bedrail fastener and I am very impressed with the quality. I am using the product to make a set of beds that also will double as bunkbeds.

Three years ago a built a set of bunk beds for two of my grandchildren. I thoroughly investigated to find a safe rail locking system, I thought this the best, and was not disappointed with the quality and result. I am going to build another set for two other grandchildren and will probably use these again.

Went a year without a footboard, because the rails to our bed set had become dammaged. I came across this website, found these rail brackets, and made my own rails. Absolutely wonderful. I will be back for my next projects.

The brackets are well made. I bought the brackets as part of a kit with the bunk bed plans. I didn't realize until after finishing the bunkbed that there were no screws included with the lockiing safety bed rail brackets. The screws ARE NOT included. In my estimation the portion of the bracket that attaches to the rail should require 4 each, #6x5/8" black, flat head, wood screws per bracket. The portion of the bracket that attaches to the post would require 6 each #6x1" black, flat head wood screw per bracket.

Great product. The mounting plates sit flush to the bed post, so make sure you have a drill or router to drill out the wood behind the mounting plate so the locking brackets can 'lock.' I thought the mounting plates didn't require drilling.

I really like the hardware, but I wish there was a link on the same sale page for the screws or it was already included.
Editor's note:
#6 flathead and #6 round head screws will fit this hardware. Length will depend on sizing of materials you are mounting to.
