Does exactly what it is suppose to do, by making setup's for Euro door hinges simple. Picked this Jig-It up to help me build a custom Computer Stand for my wife's work place that would have flush mounted doors. With the right Jig-It for flush doors, the picture, and a test drill later. I was ready to go. Works great and is dead on. By far one of the simplest to use jigs I have bought from Rockler yet. Couldn't be simpler, narrow side to the fence, set your depth of cut and fence distance by placing the 35mm bit into the cup. An adjustment to the depth of cut may be required if your doors are not the same thickness as the jigs. My doors were not as thick as the template, so I marked the bits depth in the Jig-It, and drilled a test depth hole in some scrap the same thickness as my doors. I tested the depth of cut, with one of the actual hinge cups I was going to use. Once set up, you now only have to worry about setting your end stops correctly, while making sure you don't drill the wrong side of the door. I was able to do all 4 doors in one setting with a perfect fit for each one. I would recommend this Jig-It. It works.

Worked well. I have a small drill and extension table with fence. It was instrumental in the quick setup process of my drill press. The only thing I would like to change would be to make the distance from center mark to either edge the distance recommended by most hinge makers. This would allow for quick placement of the stop on the drill press fence.
I would buy again and would recommend it to a friend.

A simple jig, but it comes with no instructions. From looking at the photo in the catalog I presume that the jig is used to set your drill press fence position and drill depth. Then the jig is removed and the door substituted. But, there are two edges to the jig, and there is no indication which edge to use for a given hinge. My doors are not ready yet, so I can't say how this works in practice. But it looks straightforward and simple, given the picture in the online catalog. But, instructions would have been nice.

Editor's note: You are correct Peter, the jig is used to set your drill press fence position and drill depth. Then the jig is removed and the door substituted. The jig used will depend on the hinge selected. See the "More Info" page of this offer to select the correct jig for the hinge purchased. The edge of the jig that locates the cup hole for the hinge will be the edge with the hole closest to it.

Now that I figured out how to use the jig it is very easy to use. A few extra minutes of your time is all it takes. I agree with some of the previous reviewers that a simple instruction sheet or even something stamped on the jig would have been nice. Don't let this stop you from buying it though. This jig is a time saver. I can now set up the forstner bit in my drill press and adjust the fence in a matter of seconds and be ready to drill and have the confidence that it will be accurate. Since I don't always drill all the cup holes at the same time I wrote on my jig some simple instructions to help me remember the next time I get it out. Because of the material the block is made from you'll have to repeat the writing from time to time becasue it wipes off after after awhile. I'm glad I got it.

No instructions! I spent some time last night trying to figure out the value of this jig. I will spend more time again today but don't understand why simple directions weren't provided. It might turn out to be useful, but right now I have my doubts.

Editor's note: To use these jigs you simply bring the bit down into the jig to set the depth and then align your fence to the jig. It really is that simple. You'll get consistently accurate holes set to the proper depth and the ability to position quickly and easily.
