This screw is lube finished and designed to eliminate splitting. Square drive head has a flat bearing surface, semi-elliptical top and self-tapping wood auger tip. It is designed to eliminate splitting.

I use a lot of these screws. I find them excellent when attaching soft or hard woods to a hard wood. They pull the joints up tight. Now being used for a seven foot long complicated TV stand I am making out of birch.

I am remodeling our entire kitchen. I am building all the cabinets myself out of red oak. I use these screws on the cabinet. I Kreg the holes and these are the best screws I have found for the job.
