My wife is an artist and I make a lot of frames. This framing clamp is by far the best I have ever used. Much better clamp than the clamp that has a tightening mechanism in the center of the clamp. Easy to use - excellent results.

I am a very novice woodworker and have been trying for months to make some frames out of some old barn wood. This clamp and the Easy Framer clamp pusher I bought were all I needed to finally get the job done. This clamp was easy to use and a good value.

These work for more than picture frames. They use standard 1/4 x 20 rods. Easy to setup and use. A trip to the local hardware store is all you need to make them longer. I have used the for frames and some doors. They have become a valuble addition to my shop.

I am a beginner at making picture frames. I made corner clamping blocks and used a tightening cord. It worked OK but not perfect - I had some slipping and misalignment. I bought the frame clamp to try out and with the thought that I could also use my homemade jig to allow me to glue two frames at a time. The framing clamp worked so well and gave me such perfect corners that I could adjust individually and which did not slip once tightened down that I stop using my homemade jig.

I am building built-in oak bookshelves with doors. I put together the doors on 2 other bookshelves without this frame and it was very difficult to manipulate. These are a great product for anyone making bookshelve doors or frames and they are great and very easy to set up and take down. I would recommend to anyone.

A great product and an ingenious, simple idea. A set of four 90 degree triangles cut carefully from scrap MDF and tucked just for the glue-up into the inside corners assures a perfectly square construction. Watch for glue squeeze-out so you don't accidentally glue them in place! Cut off a small chunk of the 90 degree corner to prevent this. I also thought extending the rods for super large frames could be done with the 3/4 inch plastic pipe and end caps used for electrical wire. Just drill through the end cap and put the rod through with a nut and washer on the other side and thread or glue the plastic pipe end cap back in place.

I had never made a picture frame before, but needed one to frame a photograph of an odd size, so decided to make one out of some moulding I had left over. This made it very easy -- just cut the miters, dryfit them in the clamp to make sure they fit right, add some glue, tighten it up again, and there you go. One picture frame. Very easy to use.

Product is great. Quick to set. It's made for picture frames, but I use it on boxes. On the Rockler set you need not tediously turn the clamping nut all the way down the rod. It quickly slides into position, then you can tighten. Very clever. It comes with eight 24" all thread rods and connectors. I cut two rods down to shorter length for a small box clamp. For boxes, better off to use two sets of clamps. I wish you could by the corner blocks, quick adjustable knobs separately and then just use my own all thread of a size I use most often. With connectors to join the all thread is handles up to 45 inches or so.

An excellent clamping system for miters. The only suggestion I can offer would be to add either two or four pieces of 1/4-20 x 12" threaded rod to clamp frames that are about 24" in length. As a quick substitute, I cut the threaded portion of a bolt off and use the brass coupling nuts to make a connection.

This is a first rate framing system. For all you guys crying about being able to store the jig. I made this slide top storage box from just materials around my shop in about 2 hours. It keeps all the parts organized and took only about 2 hours to design and build. Come on guys...if you can use this fixture, you should be able to design a way to store it! Great tool Rockler!

This is a must have for every workshop. I've tried various angle clamps and they never seem to create tight corners even though the cuts were dead on. Everytime I've used this it has create exceptional corners. It's made the best corners for the cheapest price. I've even made my own jigs but this is still far and above everything.

This clamp worked really well for me. It seems wobbly, particularly at the nuts that join sections of threaded rod, until you put it under tension. I like the fact that is breaks down into pieces of reasonable length making it easy to store. All it needs to be nearly perfect is a storage container to keep all of the small parts together.

I have four of these clamps. I use them on boxes. Use two at a time, one low and one higher on the box. They tighten the miters and square the box. Glue doesn't adhere to them. Highly recommended and the price is right.

Very easy to use and holds remarkably tight. I was amazed how easy it was to use. As long as you have good miters this will keep them in place.

For the money, one of the best tools I've purchased. As long as you ensure that the frame remains square all the way around as you tighten, it works perfectly. Because I live in the country, I rely heavily on Rockler.com for quality tools and materials.

This is a very easy framing clamp to use. It took about 30 seconds to clamp the frame to gether and it was square. Little pricey for what you get, I wish you could just buy the angle and speed nuts seperately.
However it works very well.

I bought the clamp and have successfully used it several times. The weak point is the quick release nuts release too easy. One will pop off and affect the rest with only the slightest adjustment.

Does not work for frames around 24x24! (The rod connector for larger sizes gets in the way). Otherwise it is a great product and I would have given it a "5." But something that can't handle a size right in the middle of its range is insanity. Another reviewer has it right: 4 short (6" should do it) additional rods need to be included to make this a perfect product.

Great tool for smaller frames, very easy and quick to use. Be careful though since it has 4 adjustments it IS POSSIBLE to secure the frame out-of-square.
