Jasper Model 400 Circle Jig

The Jasper Model 400 will make 105 different-sized circles in 1/16" increments, from 1" to 7-1/2" in diameter. Pre-drilled for mounting on virtually any router. With calibrated scale to read direct cutout diameter when 1/4" router bit is used. Comes with all hardware for mounting.

1) Submitted by John, from North Ridgeville, OH on 12/20/2007 Customer Rating: Works well. Designed for use with a plunge router, but I used it just fine with a fixed base router.

2) Submitted by Mark Weiss, from Chester Springs, PA on 4/20/2009 Customer Rating: This jig works great,but! I installed mine on the same router shown in the photo. I followed the instructions and removed the factory installed base, then installed the Jasper jig. The problem occured when using the registration pin. The bottom of the PC router is a hollow web. When lowering the jig on the workpiece. it would push through the jig. To retirieve the pin the jasper jig had to be removed. In order for it to work I had to reinstall the factory base with the Jasper jig on top of it.

3) Submitted by David, from Port Washington, WI on 9/24/2010 Customer Rating: This fixture makes accurate circles, but be aware that it is very fragile. It may work better on a router other than my Fraud FT-2000E, which only uses two screws to hold jig to router base. Pivot pin gets stuck in 1/8 inch hole in material other than MDF or similar material. I was routing out some Purpleheart for my tweeters for a new speaker project, and on the final cut, I pulled up on the router, and the fixture pulled right through the two screws. I advise using some dry lubricant on the pivot pin during use!

4) Submitted by Joe Messner, from Arlee, MT on 8/9/2007 Customer Rating: I like this product but it broke at the 7 inch mark the first time I used it. The smaller circles work very well. The base plate needs to be stronger or wider so the edge doesn't break.
