We bought a few of these to test on some of our air filter access doors. We needed some knobs that would not rust and could be decontaminated with wet solutions. They save a lot of time on long studs. We have many air filters to change. We ordered 232 of them. Thanks!

These quick-release knobs are welcome advance. I replaced all of the old star knobs (8) in my panel clamping press (to be featured in an upcoming issue of WoodWorker's Journal magazine) with your quick-release version -- what a difference! Greatly speeds the operation. Thank you.

I used the quick-release knobs to replace the regular threaded knobs on my router table fence - really speeds up the process of positioning the fence. Good product!

I was stunned by the horrendous machine work on these knobs. The holes were drilled off-center and the tapping inside was hit-or-miss. Where was your quality control?
I returned the three I bought, and cannot recommend this product.

Editor's note: We believe the machining you are noting here John is actually the proper machining for the quick release feature of these knobs. The hole is meant to be cut away to one side at the top and to the opposing side at the bottom. This allows the knob to be quickly positioned against the workpiece. The threads only engage at the center when the knob is place against the surface. A quarter turn with the knob in this postion is usually all that is needed to engage the threads.
