I've been woodworking for over 30 years & have gone through a lot of sandpaper in my day. This stuff is just incredible---it cuts so quickly that I now routinely do hand sanding rather than using power sanding equipment for most of my finishing. The product really does cut faster and last longer (I don't know if it's really three times as Norton claims, but it sure feels like it) than any other I've ever tried. When you take these two factors into account, Norton 3X is actually the least expensive as well as the best performing sandpaper available.

I have tried many different brands of sandpaper but this Norton 3X is far better than any I have ever used. Not only does it sand very well it last a long time. 3X longer is giving other sandpaper a good review. I think I'll stick to this sandpaper.

I have used this product in other grit sizes and other applications and have always appreciated its performance. However I have most recently used it in the restoration of a recently inherited Victrola. Since it is one of the few family heirlooms that we have I wanted to restore its finish to a brilliant lustre. So,I picked up some of the 400 grit paper and am using it for a final sand and I truly appreciate the quality of this paper. At the 400 grit size I have come to expect other papers to clog rapidly. This paper does not and the "cut" is very controllable.

Great product - amazing improvement in performance over standard sandpaper. As often happens, Rockler had the best price I could find. I will definitely buy this product again when I exhaust my current supply.

This paper really does last longer, clog less, and cut better than the aluminum-oxide paper I normally use. Also, the backing is far superior and can take folding and still me usable.
I have only used the 60 grit. (to clean up some 2x4s that I used for railings).

I "play" with the lathe, but when I play I want GOOD sandpaper. I have used several grits, along with several brands. The Norton sandpaper that I ordered from Rockler is superior in quality. Actually my playing gets serious sometimes and good sanding is a must, and this paper certainly fits in every aspect.
