Features single-hand key operation, patented over-extension safety system, 4-jaw scroll chuck and smooth-glide base jaw design. Chuck has 3-1/2" body diameter and standard #2 jaws. With nickel-plated body and hardened base jaws. Over-extension safety system prevents the base jaws from coming loose during operation. Base jaw slide design allows 50% more contact area, adding to longer life and easier chuck operation. Weighs 3.4 lbs.

Capacities of the Talon Chuck with Jumbo Jaws #22754 These jaws are aluminum plates, machined from the solid for higher strength which measure 11" in diameter. Their unique combination of slots and tapped holes for mounting the rubber grippers allows holding an infinite number of round, oval or square shapes. Buttons are hard rubber pressed over a tapered steel sleeve for superior holding.3 These jaws can be used for light finishing on the backs of bowls as well as for external chucking on platters and picture frames. By using an extra button set, it is possible to stack buttons which further accommodates odd shapes. Wooden false jaws may be mounted and turned for those requiring the utmost in precision finishing or for extremely large or critical applications.

Compatibility
The jaws of the TALON Chuck are compatible with the jaws of the original ONEWAY scroll chuck. Because of it's smaller body diameter, if you use ONEWAY Scroll Chuck Jaws, there will be some areas where capacity overlap between jaw sets will not occur.

I purchased my OneWay chuck some 4 or 5 years ago and it is as reliable as they come. It holds strongly and centers as well as any I have ever used, either in woodworking or in metalworking. I highly recommend this chuck and am about to order more jaws to increase the capacity of the work I can do with my chuck. Thank you Rockler for your supply of quality tools.

The only chuck I had available before the One Way Talon Chuck was the four jaw individual adjusting chuck from Sears. This chuck is like coming in from the ice age to modern in one step.I have done more turning in two days than I had in months. GREAT TOOL and well worth the price.

In my humble opinion, Oneway products are of supreme quality and this chuck is no different. I have never been disapointed with any Oneway purchases and would highly recommend them to anyone. Additionally, their customer service department is on par with their products..... Outstanding!

I am confused? I just purchased the #20761 chuck for my Delta lathe and when I got home and read the instructions, it said on page 2 that the thread lock adapter was included with the chuck but it was packaged seperately. I returned to the store and showed the instructions to your store manager and was told that Rockler has always sold the adapter seperately. Would you please check into this to prevent other customers from having the same problem.

Editor's note: The store manager informed you correctly. The adaptors are sold separately as they are offered in two different sizes. The prices we charge for these parts reflect the individual component price. The manufacturer includes the same sheet in all there packaging even though they offer items as both packages and individual components. We only offer and price items as individual components.
