We’ve made cutting crown molding easy!

Jig Setup:
1) Place your molding in the jig with the bottom edge resting against the back fence. Be sure the molding is positioned correctly.
2) Adjust the movable fence so it butts against the edge of the molding as shown.

Cutting a Miter:
1) Set the miter saw according to reference guide shown on the jig.
2) Position the jig on the correct side of the blade, keeping it at a minimum of 1/2" from the blade.
3) Position the molding in the jig and hold both the jig and the workpiece against the miter saw fence. Warning: Always keep hands at least 4" from the miter saw blade.
4) With the power off, check the path of the blade to validate it clears the jig.
5) Make the first cut and immediately let the saw come to a complete stop before raising to its rest position.

I just received my Rockler Crown molding jig. I have now used it for a couple days now adding crown molding to a renovation project and it works perfectly. It makes an amateur look like a pro. Just follow the instructions for a perfect fit. I highly recommend it to any one wanting to have that pro finished result.

Worked as described. Was able to successfully miter large three inch crown molding onto kitchen cabinets. Granted all the miters were 90 degrees, but it takes out the guess work of whether you're holding the molding in the proper position while cutting.

Used the first time to finish the bedroom crown molding project. Each miter joint, both inside and outside, were perfect. Purchased the 18" True Angle protractor at the same time and found it to be an absolute necessity in getting perfect joints. Highly recommend these products for professional results as well as time/money savers.

Haven't used it but playing around with it I think it will be a very simple solution to cutting crown moulding especially when used with the Starrett Protractor Angle.

"I am disabled and my doctors advised me to get a hobby of some kind. After a lot of consideration and talks with my 13yr old son, we decided on woodworking. We turned an extra bedroom into a workshop and we now both just love it. I have done business with many companies on the internet and on the phone ( not just woodworking companies) and i have never found a company that gets an A+ on everything like Rockler does. Rockler has very kind people that treat you well over the phone and they stand behind their products 100% like no other company i have ever done business with. You can be sure that my son and myself will always be Rockler customers."
