So easy a child could do it. I was using a square and a tri-square which works fine but takes a little extra time to set up. This J-Square is always ready to go. I just grab it off the wall and zip zip it is done.

This is a great tool. It makes finding the center of round stock easy, quick and fool proof and for the price you can't beat it.

The tool came warped with a slight twist. It should have been shipped on cardboard. I think it bent in the mail. I warmed it up with a heat lamp and clamped it down. Works as advertised. Good price!

Mine was warped too. Not quite sure how to use it. A simple 1 page instruction sheet would have been nice. Just feels kinda cheap, but that's what you get for 6 bucks.

This tool is great for dowels and rods over 2" in diameter. I tried to make it work on a 1" dowel and the dowel slipped through the nubs that line up the tool to find center. It was totally useless in this application. But for centering larger work, it would be a breeze.

This item is fine - for large stock. But anything under an inch becomes problematic and anything under half an inch is impossible. For turners who do finer work, this is not much of an option. If you need a center finder that handles a large variety of stock sizes, you might want to look at the other Rockler center finding tool option.

It works great with large diameter rounds stick. But the round is less than 1 inch in diameter, which I most often use, this one doesn't work.
