The Insty drive set is one of the best things in my shop. I use the drive in so many places, and so many projects. I've had my set for 2 years, and just broke my first tapered bit. It so easy to use, slides off to drill, counter sink and slides back on to screw in the screw. Every woodworker would love this tool!

I use these bits all the time during the construction of my Glen L mahogany boat. I am driving silicon bronze screws in hard wood and the screws won't work without the taper bits.

I really like the taper. I needed it once I opened the box and it worked great. It gives screws a better bite.

I do like this product and would recommend it to others. Although this is my second set I've purchased within a year since two of the taper bits on my first set snapped just by tightening the sets screws.

I used the bits for the first time this weekend, and am very pleased with the quality. They create very clean pilot and countersink holes.

This set has larger diameter bits, handy when you are using large screws. The case is well designed, holds the bits securely and has extra slots for more bits.

These bits are nice but the first one I used broke after about 10 minutes of use. I was drilling oak so I don't know if that was an issue, but it should not have been. I also had a hard time getting the sinks deep enough. I like the pouch that they come in it's very neat and tidy.

I ordered one of the Rockler Insty-Drive tapered drill/driver set after some careful research on-line. Like with many of their exclusives, Rockler supports this set with replacement drill bits to match the countersink. This was a real plus for me. I dislike throwing away anything when I can just replace a part. After I received and used the Rockler Insty-Drive tapered drill/driver set, I was so impressed with the quality that I ordered another set since Rockler was offering free shipping at the time.

I've wanted a set of tapered drill bits for years, finally broke down when Rockler had them on sale, and hit paydirt. It would have been nicer to have had a separate stop collar with each of the bits instead of one for the set, but excellent product overall. Nice case and I liked the way it locked in the bits so they don't fall out.

This is a very good product. The only problem was that there was no hex key wrench in the kit. I already had one in that size,so it was no big deal. I look forward to buying other products from you.

By far the best set of counter sinks on the market for millwork installation. Agresive cut with both the bit and the countersink. A pleasure to use. Having the parts replacements when they wear out it a big plus. You don't have to marry a whole set again to replace 1 or 2 dull or broken pieces.

I have used Rockler Insty-Drive system for years. In my opinion the ones that had the drive socket and counter sink made as one piece was a better product. I sometime have trouble with the countersink slipping on the newer design especially when making deep countersinks in oak or some other hardwoods. The allen wrench can only tighten the countersink so much. Please go back to the orginial product. Even with this small flaw they are still the best bits and countersinks on the market that I have found.

The Rockler/Insty-Drive Tapered Drill Bits and Countersinks is an excellent product. The tapered bits are wonderful for drilling pilot holes. With the straight bits the hole is usually either too small or too big; but the tapered hole provides easy insertion of the screws and great holding power. I was a little upset when my package came what I thought was the Insty-Drive sleeve turned out to be a standard quick change chuck for a drill. Not knowing the product I assumed that the quick change chuck accessory offered was the drive sleeve that would allow me to drill the pilot hole and then quickly change to the driver bit to insert the screw. Even more disconcerting was when I went back to the on-line catalog to find the drive sleeve that I wanted, it could not be found I finally found it hidden in the picture in the listing for the 5-pc countersink set, but even the search for the item number that I found did not show it in the catalog. In the end, I returned to a happy shopper when my local store exchanged the quick-change chuck that I did not need for the correct Drive Sleeve that I did.

The quick-change taper drill countersinks work well. Runing at higher speeds helps the tapered drill in shedding chips, otherwise I've had problems with the chips packing solidly into the flutes. Be award that replacement tapered drills from Rockler only work with the Insty-Bit Quick-Change Taper Drill Countersink model they sell. Replacements don't have the 1/4" quick-change shank.

These counter sink bits with quick change driver sleeve are very handy. The bits are great for pre-drilling holes for deck screws to prevent splitting. The only change I would make would be to add a set of small screw bits. The supplied long bits are great for when "reach" is needed, but a little long for most occasions.
